Kodaly Kindergarten

This document provides a lesson plan for teaching kindergarten music concepts using Kodaly methods over the first couple weeks. It includes using large motions and puppets to greet students and sing simple songs. Concepts to be taught include loud and soft dynamics through kinesthetic activities, high and low pitch through bird/bear rhymes, and fast and slow tempo through rabbit/hare clapping games. Visual and aural awareness are developed through worksheets and labeling sounds. Notation is then introduced to label dynamics, pitch and rhythm.
