User Procedure: Radio Communication Setting Procedure

This document provides instructions for setting up radio communication between an Automatic Weather Station and a computer. It describes downloading software to allow radio connection, accessing the radio software, and uploading setting files to configure the weather station for periodic radio transmissions. The software interface is used to save settings, choose the weather station, and restart the connection. Once settings are uploaded, the automatic weather station will begin transmitting data by radio on a scheduled basis.

Presentation
This document presents how to set the radio configuration between a Automatic Weather Station Pulsiane III and a computer.

Requirements
Start to install the Pulsowin software. (report to Pulsowin manual) Start to create a new station in Pulsowin and choose radio communication

3.

Start the Radio software


3.1. Principle The meteorological station Pulsiane lII can be interrogated by using long range radio communication. The computer is connected by a RS232 port to the radio base. The liaison is periodically established by Pulsianell. The communications are controlled by background software. Installation The software "Radio.exe" is installed during installation of Pulsowin if you have chosen complete or personalized installation with the option: "Radio Station" ( 3.3). Radio.exe is installed in the directory used by PULSOWIN.

Upload the setting file


4.1. Run the software click on: "StartProgramPulsowinRadio". Click on the radio icon (the icon has a red cross on it, this red cross will disappear when after the first communication is done)

Accept to set your weather station (in this example RAD is the name of the weather station)

Accept to re-start the software

Your automatic weather station can now communicate by radio transmission The first communication will be done on the dot + 1 minute (for example 8.01 AM)
