He is a part of an e!chan#e pro#ram between the America(s ,epartment of Homeland ecurity and %srael(s hin Bet. he reads that Jason #raduate from the -nited tates .ilitary Academy at the top of his class. He also finishes at the top of his classes at the Army Airborne chool, Army %ntelli#ence Center of E!cellence, and pecial /orces 0ualification Course. He finishes his career in the Joint pecial 1perations Command. After his contract is up after 22 years, he &oins the ,epartment of Homeland ecurity base in *ashin#ton ,. C. He is a member of their special operations unit. Judith is assi#n to meet Jason at Ben 3urion Airport. He is arrivin# at 42526 pm on an El Al from 7ew 'or". Judith loo"s at her watch8 it is time to leave. he heads to the airport in an armored .ercedes 396 A.3. As she is drivin# to the airport, she is tryin# to fi#ure out. :*hy am % assi#ned to babysit the American; 7evertheless, an order is an order,( she says to herself. Judith arrives at the airport, and inside, she flashes her bad#e and identification card to bypass security. he is standin# at the #ate. Jason +ain enters into view. he "nows it is him because of the %, photo in the file. Jason is dress in a blac" suit with a blac" belt. His shirt is red with a blac" tie. He puts his carry on and briefcase in the bac" seat. 1n his seat, there is a brown clasp envelope with his name on it. Jason opens the envelope and inside is his %, card, and other paperwor" that he will need in %srael, and a "ey. )hey chitchat about his fli#ht. *hen they arrive at hin Bet headAuarters, Judith si#ns him in at the entrance and ta"es Jason strai#ht to the ,irector of hin Bet. Her boss welcomes Jason and tells him that Judith Heber is his liaison officer. Jason needs to listen carefully and follow her orders. Jason says, <'es, ir.= )hey say #oodbye leave for her division, the 'amas office. he introduces Jason to her staff. he e!plains they are hi#hly trained a#ents with different bac"#rounds, but are all trained "illers with time in the military. After the formalities, Judith and Jason enter her office. Judith has a table with a chair for Jason to use as a des" in the far corner. he tells him that the table and chair are for him to use. 1n the table are the standard pen, stic"y notes, a laptop, and other items. he loo"s at his reaction to his table and thin"s, > ince % am #oin# to babysit you, % will "eep you in my si#ht.> After Jason, heard that the table is to be his des", he put his briefcase on it. He opens it. %t has some files and other thin#s. He reaches into his briefcase and puts out an electronic Bible. )he paint on the side of the tablet computer has been worn from daily use and a plaAue that says, <3od is my protector.= Judith raises her eyebrows and thin"s, >)his is odd, A man with his bac"#round, a reli#ious man.>

C Jason sits down at the table, puts his &ac"et around the chair, and #ets to wor". He is in hin Bet as a liaison officer. After a half an hour or so, Judith says, <*hy don>t we #o down to the ran#e and see how #ood of a shot you are;= Jason says, <*hy not, .a>am.= ?/ollow me.? )hey wal" to the ran#e in the basement of their buildin#. Judith waves to the Dan#e .aster on the camera. He opens the door for her to enter the ca#e. )he weapons that are not bein# use as side arms are "ept in a loc"ed cabinet. Judith comes often to this area for one reason or another. he tells the Dan#e .aster that Jason is from America and is there on an e!chan#e pro#ram. )hey need to si#n out a weapon to him. )he Dan#e .aster says, <'es, .a>am. Eoo"in# at the selection of #uns in the weapon>s valve, she sees a 3loc"$4F pistol. he pic"s it up, chec"s its balance lays it on the counter. he tells the Dan#e .aster to write down the pistol>s serial number and that Jason needs to si#n for it. Both men say, <'es, .a>am.= After a few minutes of paperwor", Jason is hand the pistol, a pistol ma#aGine, a bo! of ammo, a holster, and safety #lasses. He follows Judith into the firin# ran#e. *ith her blaGer off, she is already on the firin# line with her primary and secondary pistols out of her body holsters on the table. he has a 3loc"$4F and 3loc"$29 as a secondary weapon. Jason puts everythin# down on his table in his lane and starts to put the ammo in the ma#aGine. Judith hands him the protector earmuffs lyin# on the table. ?*are these.? As she is sayin# that, she pins up her tar#et on the loop and sends it down the ran#e. By the time, the tar#et is down ran#e Jason has the ma#aGine loaded and on the table. He has his earmuffs on. he reaches for his #un, pulls the safety off, and spends her ma#aGine in record time.

6 he puts the safely on and lays the pistol on the table. Judith brin#s the tar#et up ran#e. )a"in# off her earmuffs, she is &umpin# for &oy inside, but she does not want to show it. he sees that she has a nice #roupin# on the tar#et. Jason sees the #roupin# and says, <3reat &ob, .a>am.= Judith says, <%t is your turn.= )herefore, he sends his tar#et down ran#e. )hey both put bac" on their earmuffs. *hen the tar#et is in place Jason puts the ma#aGine in the pistol, pulls the safety off. His ma#aGine is spent down ran#e in no time. He puts the safely on and puts the pistol on the table. )hey pull down their earmuffs. Jason brin#s the tar#et up ran#e. Judith could see that Jason>s #roupin# is much better than hers is. he is pissed inside. Jason Auic"ly puts his pistol in the holster and puts it in his poc"et. He also puts the rest of his ammo in his other poc"et before she is too far down the hall. As the three of them leave the stairway elevator and enter her division, Judith orders the a#ent to follow the %slamist and to see what he is up too. he also says that she wants to be brief on anythin# unusual. )he a#ent says, <'es, .a>am,? and leaves.

9 *hen Judith and Jason #et bac" to her office, Jason unloads his poc"ets on the table and opens his Bible. Judith sits down at her des" and types the %ranian name in the database on her computer. )he info comes up Auic"ly. His name is Haman Ba"eri. Her interest is in what happened after his wor" in %ran>s %ntelli#ence ervice. %t is rumor that he left because he thou#ht the .inistry is not doin# enou#h to unite %slam to fi#ht a#ainst the %nfidels. He is "nown to be a hard$liner. As Judith is readin# the information about Ba"eri, Jason is reloadin# the pistol ma#aGine and loo"in# at the Bible. After the ma#aGine is full, he puts the ma#aGine in the pistol and ma"es sure the safety is on. He puts the pistol in the holster and lays it on the table. He puts the e!tra ammo in the bo! and leaves it beside the pistol. A minute or two later Judith #ets up from her des" and wal"s over to Jason>s table. As his laptop is bootin# up, she loo"s over and sees that the Bible is open. An electronic arrow fla# self$stic" note is pointin# to the enlar#ed verse of Joshua 45F, <Have % not commanded you; Be stron# and coura#eous. ,o not be afraid8 do not be discoura#ed, for the E1D, your 3od will be with you wherever you #o.= By this time, the laptop has boot up. Judith lays down a pen and stic"y note and moves away from the Bible. he flips Jason>s computer around to type and lo#s into the database. )ypin# Ba"eri into the search en#ine, the file pops open. 1n the stic"y note, she writes down Jason>s lo# in user name and password and stic"s it on the frame of the laptop. he wal"s over to her des" and says, to Jason as she is sittin# down. <)he lo# in information that you need is on the stic"y note. H Judith understood that Jason wanted to put on the holster. he could not understand why did not &ust ta"e his belt off in the office, but she fi#ured, >He is &ust a shy #uy % #uess.> he tells him down the hall to the leave. He follows Judith out of the office. he showed him how to si#n out at the main entrance. *hen they #et to the -B, Jason puts his briefcase and ba# in the bac"seat a#ain. he starts the car and heads out. Just seconds after leavin# the hin Bet headAuarters she says, <1h, by the way, we are meetin# my parents for dinner toni#ht. orry, % hope you do not mind.= Jason says, <)hat is fine, .adam.= Judith turns on the radio. 7ot too lon# after that, they arrive at the restaurant. he finds a par"in# spot. After Jason enters the apartment, he lays out his ba# on the bed unpac"s. After puttin# his personal items in the bureau, he does his bedtime routine. Before he lies down on the bed he #ets on his "nees and prays, ?)han"s 3od for everythin#, let me repent of my sins. Also, than" you 3od for lettin# me be in %srael and havin# dinner with the Hebers and than"s for Judith. Eet me humbly as" for another day so that % can become a better Christian than % am today.? At 9546 a.m., they leave for headAuarters. As they were #ettin# into the -B, Judith puts the .C carbine case bac" in the trun". *hen they #et to their office, Jason sits down and opens his Bible to read. Judith lo#s into her computer, chec"s her messa#es, and ma"es out a list. After Jason finishes readin# from the Bible, he lo#s in and waits for orders. Judith #ets up and heads for Jason table. *hen she #ets to the table, she says, <'ou have been trained in intelli#ence wor", ri#ht;= Jason says, <'es, .a>am.= Judith says, <Here is a list of names and all our info. Eoo" them over and see if your American database can detect anythin# we missed;= he puts the printed list of names on the des" and wal"s bac" to her des". Di#ht before lunchtime, Judith #ets a phone call from her boss and is order to report to his office. *hen she enters his office, her boss tells her, accordin# to the intelli#ence report that a wanted member of the +alestine Eiberation 1r#aniGation is #oin# to be at a warehouse in the *est Ban". He is authoriGin# her to arrest the terrorist. )he report says that he will be there around 2 pm and she needs to #et a move on to #et there before the suspect. Judith Auic"ly briefs him about Haman Ba"eri, <% #ot a report this mornin#, that he has a meetin# this afternoon about @ pm. )he a#ents are still followin# him.= Her boss says, <3ood &ob, and "eep me informed.= he says, <'es, sir.= he hurriedly leaves and #oes to her team officers to Auic"ly brief them. )hey #et their #ear and head to the under#round par"in# lot to load up the vans and cars.

4C he taps on the #lass of her door and waves to Jason. He #ets up, opens the door, and as"s, <*hat is up;= he tells him that they have an operation and to head for her -B. He #ets his coat and runs for the car. He is only one$step behind her. )hey #et into her car and head for the scene. Her special operations team has load up and their vans and cars follow her to the scene. )hey pull up at an area near the warehouse, but not to close and out of si#ht. *hen everyone is at the scene, Judith and Jason #et out of the car. As she is briefin# the team, they pull up, synchroniGe their maps up on their smart phones, and find a spot to deploy and meet up. )hey test their advanced wal"ies$tal"ies. he #oes to her -B trun", #ets her .C carbine, and puts on the slin# around her shoulder. Judith #ives orders. )he sniper teams #et in position and everyone else #oes to support positions. Jason is impressed. He has not seen anythin# li"e this, since his days in ,elta. Judith orders Jason to stay with her. He is there as an observer. Jason says, <'es, .a>am.= He is disappoint because he would not be in the action, but understood. He also #ives a Auic" silent pray for the team. 1ne of the sniper teams report seein# the tar#et and it is confirmed, the assault team would enter the area, storm the warehouse, arrest the tar#et and anyone else that is there, and collect any intelli#ence. Judith and Jason follow in the assault team. )he snipers teams would cover. )he main ob&ective is to #et in and out before anyone could "now what happen. As the intelli#ence report says, the tar#et arrived on time. )he operation is #oin# off li"e cloc"wor". 46 Judith is proud of her team. After the operation, she puts her .C carbine bac" in her trun". Judith and Jason stop by a fast food restaurant and pic" up enou#h food for everyone. As they were about to carry out the food, she #ets a call on her cell phone. %t is one of her a#ents. He says, ?)he report has come in and Haman Ba"eri has a meetin# with a smu##ler.= he says, <)han" you= and han#s up. Judith calls her boss and briefs him. He tells her, <%f the a#ents could #rab the smu##ler without a scene, and without Ba"eri "nowin# do it.= he says, <1L.= and han#s up. he calls her lead a#ent at the office and tells him what the boss says. )he a#ent says, <%t will be done.= < o the operation is a #o,= she confirms. At dinner, she #ets a call. Judith puts up more of a fi#ht than her dad but Jason still wins. After the meal, they went to the #rocery store. Judith #ets her .C carbine ba#. )hey #o to her apartment. *hen they #et inside Jason separated the #roceries. Judith for some reason puts the .C carbine on her love seat because she is #oin# to clean it. He went down the hall, unloc"s, and enters his apartment.
