the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:3 NLT (v.7) - Reference Verse - As we know Jesus better, his divine power
gives us everything we need for living a godly life. He has called us to receive his
own glory and goodness!
1 Peter 4:10 NLT (v.7) -
1 Cor 1:8 NLT(v.8)-He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from

Jude 24 nkjv (v.8) –
Phil 1:6 NKJV (v.8) - being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a
good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ
Phil 2:12-13 NKJV (v.8) - Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as
in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who works in you both to will and to
do for His good pleasure.
Phil 2:12-13 NLT (v.8) - Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my
instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more
careful to put into action God's saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep
reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him
and the power to do what pleases him.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV (v.8) - No temptation has overtaken you except such as is
common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond
what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that
you may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 NKJV (v.8) - Therefore let him who thinks he stands take
heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to
man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are
able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be
able to bear it.
Ephesians 1:13-14 NKVJ (v.8) - In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of
truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed
with the Holy Spirit of promise who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the
redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.
As we look at the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah), we can be granted a fresh, new
start from God. Leave the old life behind.
