Toyota Reverse Logistics

Toyota Motors is recalling 680,000 vehicles in the United States due to two separate issues. One recall involves airbags and the other concerns defective brake lights in crossovers and sedans. Toyota will use a reverse logistics process to move the recalled cars back through the supply chain from various consumer destinations. The larger recall involves 500,000 Toyota Tacoma trucks manufactured from 2005 to 2015. The airbags in these models could be deactivated by friction between parts of the steering wheel mechanism and the cable assembly. The second recall of 130,000 Toyota Camry sedans from 2014 and 116,000 Toyota Venza crossover SUVs from 2014 to 2017 was issued because the brake lamp switches could be impacted by grease inside
