Case Study Urolithiasis

Mr. L, a 63 year old male, presented with right flank pain radiating to his lower abdomen and right testicle for 1 day. He has a history of diabetes mellitus, nephrolithiasis, appendicectomy and gallstones. His vital signs were stable. A diagnosis of urolithiasis was made based on his history and physical exam findings. Nursing management will focus on pain management, monitoring for complications and educating the patient on preventive measures to reduce risk of recurrent stones.
