Simulcast best where there is a large area to cover with a small number of radio channels. Unequal load distribution causes problems with OpenSky, but is not an issue with simulcast. Group calls cause inefficiencies with OpenSky, but are not an issue with simulcast. Coverage is enhanced by the inherent 3 dB advantage that FDMA has over TDMA
