Part 1 - Starting the Bracelet
1. Fold each of the 4 cords in half and attach them to one of the 8 mm rings with a MH (Mounting
Hitch) (see Fig. 1).
There are now 8 warp cords hanging downward. I will refer to them as Cords #1 - 8 according to
their sequence from left to right.
2. Row 1 - Take Cds #1 -4 and make a SQK (Square Knot) with them. Take Cds #5 - 8 and make a
SQK with them (see Fig. 2).
3. Row 2 - Take Cds #3 - 6 (the 4 centermost cords) and make a SQK with them (see Fig. 3).

4. Thread an 8 mm bead onto (joined) Cds #4 & 5 and push it up the cords (see Fig. 4a).
5. Thread (3) 11 seeds (1) 8 seed bead and (3) 11 seeds onto Cd #3 (see Fig. 4b) and also onto Cd
#6 (see Fig. 4c). Note - Cords #3 & #6 are the two KCs (Knotting Cords) of the SQK.
6. Push the beads up the cords and make a SQK below the 8 mm bead using Cds #3 - 6 (see Fig. 5).
Beaded Chain, Left side:
7. Thread (1) 8 seed bead onto Cds #1 & 2 (see Fig. 6). Thread (1) 3.4 mm drop bead onto Cd #1
only (see Fig. 7).
8. Thread (1) 4 mm round bead onto Cds #1 & 2 (see Fig. 8). Thread (1) 3.4 mm drop bead onto
Cd #1 only (see Fig. 9a).
9. Thread (1) 4 mm round bead onto Cds #1 & 2 (see Fig. 9b). Thread (1) 3.4 mm drop bead onto
Cd #1 only (see Fig. 9c).
10. Thread (1) 8 seed bead onto Cds #1 & 2 (see Fig. 9d).

Beaded Chain, Right side (Steps 11 - 14, see Fig. 10):
11. Thread (1) 8 seed bead onto Cds #7 & 8. Thread (1) 3.4 mm
drop bead onto Cd #8 only.
12. Thread (1) 4 mm round bead onto Cds #7 & 8. Thread (1) 3.4
mm drop bead onto Cd #8 only.
13. Thread (1) 4 mm round bead onto Cds #7 & 8. Thread (1) 3.4
mm drop bead onto Cd #8 only.
14. Thread (1) 8 seed bead onto Cds #7 & 8.
15. Take Cds #1 -4 and make a SQK with them. Take Cds #5 - 8 and
make a SQK with them (see Fig. 11).
16. Take Cds #3 - 6 and make a SQK with them (see Fig. 12).
17. Repeat Steps #15 & 16 (see Fig. 13).
Part 3 - Bracelet Band
18. Repeat Part 2, Steps 4 - 17 seven times (see Fig. 14 for detail).
19. Repeat Part 2, Steps 4 - 15 one time (as in Fig. 11).
20. Thread Cds #2 & 3 and Cds #6 & 7 through an 8 mm ring (see
Fig. 15a). Position the ring about 1" down from the final SQKs.
Bring these cords back upwards over the SQKs.
21. Use Cds #1 & 4 to make a tight SQK around folded Cds #2 & 3,
encasing them. Use Cds #5 & 8 to make a tight SQK around folded
Cds #6 & 7, encasing them (see Fig. 15b).

22. Pull Cds #2 & 3 and 6 & 7 upward (through the SQKs), pulling
the ring up next to the SQKs (see Fig. 16). Retighten the SQKs if they
have loosened.
23. Thread Cd #4 onto an embroidery needle and sew it from back
to front under the ring then upward through the left-hand SQK.
Thread Cd #5 onto an embroidery needle and sew it from back to
front under the ring then upward through the right-hand SQK (see
Fig. 17).
24. Thread Cd #1 onto an embroidery needle and sew it from back
to front under the ring then upward through the left-hand SQK.
Thread Cd #8 onto an embroidery needle and sew it from back to
front under the ring then upward through the right-hand SQK (see
Fig. 18).
25. Make an tight OVK (Overhand Knot) in Cd #1 right next to the
left-hand SQK. Make an tight OVK in Cd #8 right next to the right-
hand SQK (see Fig. 19).
26. Apply clear nail polish to the OVKs and SQKs at the back of the
piece. Cut off the excess cords next to the OVKs and SQKs (see Fig.
19).
27. Open the jump ring and add a clasp. Close the jump ring and
rotate it so the the jump ring opening is hidden by the cords.
