The undersigned, on behalf of the Government of Jharkhand, invites lump sum & item rate bids for the
work mentioned in table below through e-Procurement from eligible and approved Contractors, registered
in appropriate class with Drinking Water & Sanitation Department, Government of Jharkhand . Those
contractors who are not registered with Drinking Water & Sanitation Department, Government of
Jharkhand are also permitted to bid. However such contractor in the event of award of work will have to get
registered with Drinking Water & Sanitation Department, Government of Jharkhand within a period of two
month from date of award. The bid shall be submitted online in the Website
https://jharkhandtenders.gov.in.The bidder(s) should have necessary portal enrolment with their own
Digital Signature Certificate:

3. Cost of Bidding document for a non refundable fee as indicated shall be in the form of demand draft
of any scheduled Bank payable at RANCHI in favour of Executive Engineer, D.W.& S.
Division, RANCHI WEST.
4. Bids must be accompanied by scanned copy of bid security amount specified for the work in the
table, payable at RANCHI and drawn in favour of Executive Engineer, D.W. & S. Division,
RANCHI WEST, Bid security will have to be in anyone of the forms as specified in the bidding
document and shall have to be valid for 45 days beyond the validity of the bid.
5. Cost of Bidding document, additional cost & Bid security shall be deposited in the office of the
Engineer in chief, Nepal House Doranda, Ranchi 834002 in all working days between
31.10.2012 / 11.00 A.M. to 16.11.2012 upto 4.00 P.M either by registered post / speed post or
by hand. Only those applications will be entertained whose cost of Bidding documents, bid
security is received before 16.11.2012 upto 4.00 P.M. The Engineer- in Chief, Nepal House
Doranda, Ranchi 834002 will not be held responsible for postal delay, if any, in the delivery of
the document or non receipt of the same
6. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 09.11.2012 at 11.30 AM at the office of Engineer- in -Chief to
clarify the issues and to answer questions on any matter that may be raised at that stage as
stated in Clause 9.2 of Instructions to Bidders of the bidding document.**
7. Scanned copy of sales Tax clearance certificate, PAN card, & Letter of Registration as contractor
shall be uploaded by the tenderer or otherwise it may be rejected.
8. The work is to be completed in time, otherwise penalty for non completion of work in time shall
be imposed as stated in Bid Document. Also provision of Bonus for early completion of work is
there.
9. Bidders who have pending work in the department are not eligible to participate.
