Loan Waiver for Deceased Employee

The Government of Andhra Pradesh issued an order waiving outstanding loan balances for a deceased government employee. B. Venkatesh had taken out a marriage advance of Rs.30,000 and a motor cycle advance of Rs.60,000 while working as a Record Assistant. He passed away on September 18, 2011, leaving outstanding balances of Rs.13,500 for the marriage advance including Rs.4,622 in interest, and the full Rs.60,000 principal for the motor cycle advance. In response to a request from his widow, the government ordered the write-off of the total outstanding amount of Rs.78,122 as of his date of death, in accordance with previous orders on waiving loan balances

In the Government Orders 4

read above, amounts of Rs.30,000/-
and Rs.60,000/- were sanctioned to B.Venkatesh, Record Asst., towards Marriage
Advance for performance of his daughters marriage and Motor Cycle Advance
respectively. The individual expired in service while working as Record Asst. in
Transport, Roads & Buildings Department on 18.09.2011, leaving behind the
outstanding balances of Principal Amounts and Interests accrued thereon on the date of
his expiry as detailed below:-

Buildings Department, A.P. Secretariat, in her Representation 6

read above, while
enclosing copies of Death Certificate of her husband and Family Members Certificate,
has requested the Government for waiver of the balance amounts of Motor Cycle
Advance Principal and Marriage Advance, both Principal and Interest, which were
sanctioned to her husband, during his service, as he had expired on 18.09.2011.

3. After careful examination of the matter, Government hereby write off the outstanding
balances of the principal amounts and interests accrued thereon as on the date of his
death, which are mentioned in para (1) above, in terms of the orders issued in the
G.O.s first to third read above.

4. This Order does not require the concurrence of Finance(A&L)Department as per the
Rules or Orders on the subject.
