Entry level swim team group. Stroke fundamentals are developed through drills and fun activities in the water. Swimmers will learn competitive racing starts, turns,
butterfly, breaststroke and other skills. Swimmers must be able to swim at least 25 yards of freestyle and 25 yards of backstroke to enter this group.
3 Short Course Season
Green 8 to 10 5 per week 50% (3 to 4 per week) Stretching 60 Minutes
Beginner level developmental group. Stroke fundamentals are developed through drills and fun activities in the water. Swimmers in this group develop and enhance
technique and skills in all 4 competitive stokes. Requirements for entry into the Green group are the ability to swim a legal 25 yards of freestyle, backstroke and
breaststroke as well as having the basic fundamentals of butterfly.
3 Short Course Season Core training & Group Bonding
Red 9 to 12 6 per week 65% (3 to 5 per week) 70 minutes
2 Long course Season Focused (30 min.)
Advanced beginner level developmental group. Swimmers in this group develop and enhance technique and skills in all 4 competitive strokes. Though the majority of
practice time is spent on technique and having fun, the concept of "training" to be competitive is introduced. Requirements for entry into the Red group are the ability to
swim a legal 25 yards of butterfly, backstroke, breastroke and freestyle.
All meets qualified for as Core training and increased fitness
Blue 10 to 13 6 per week 70% (about 4.2 per week) 90 minutes
directed by coach level focused (30 min.)
This transitional group concentrates on developing the necessary discipline and focus needed to be successful in competitive swimming. Swimmers in this group have
demonstrated proper technique and skills needed to advance to higher levels of training. Minimum requirements to enter this group are: demonstrate abilility to adapt to
stroke corrections, 200 IM with proper stroke technique and turns, 500 freestyle, the ability to swim 8x 100 freestyle @ 1:45* and the ability to have fun while training hard.
Entry into this group by invitation from the coach only.
Minimum of 78% (5 per week)
All meets qualified for as Core & explosive training focused
Age Group A 11 to 13 6 per week Attendance Required including Saturday 105 minutes
directed by coach (60 min.)
Sessions
The highest level age group. Swimmers will work towards higher levels of training and performance in this group. Swimmers will develop the skills needed to train at higher
intensities while maintaining focus on proper stroke technique and skills. Entry into this group is by invitation only with minimum requirements: demonstrate abilility to adapt
to stroke corrections,400 IM, 500 free, 200 of all 4 strokes and the ability to swim 15x 100 freestyle @ 1:25, 5x 200 IM @ 3:10*.

Bronze 13 & older 6 per week 90 minutes

Senior developmental group for those swimmers not ready for the training levels and expectations of the Silver and Gold groups. Requirements for entry into this group is
completion of a legal 200 IM and 300 Freestyle.

The highest level age groupers as well as qualified high schoolers will work towards higher levels of training and performance in this group. Swimmers will develop the skills
needed to train at higher intensities while maintaining focus on proper stroke technique and skills. Entry into this group is by invitation only with minimum requirements:
demonstrate abilility to adapt to stroke corrections,400 IM, 500 free, 200 of all 4 strokes and the ability to swim 18x 100 freestyle @ 1:20, 6x 200 IM @ 3:00*.
9 to 11 per 90% Required including Saturday & All meets qualified for as Core & explosive training focused
Gold 13 & older 120 min. plus
week morning sessions directed by coach (60 min.)
Our highest level training group. Swimmers in this group have demonstrated the requisite drive, focus and ability to be successful in training, school and performance at top
levels. Major goals for this group are: Scholastic All American, Senior Sectionals and National competition. Entrance into the Gold group is by invitation from the head coach
only with swimmers demonstrating the ability to do the following: 30x 100 freestyle @ 1:20, 8x 200 IM @ 2:40 and 5x 100 fly @ 1:30*.
*Test sets must be completed with requisite technique, skills, breathing patterns, etc. All group placements are at the discretion of the coaches based on many factors, the minimum of which
are included in this sheet. Dryland requirement is in addition to water session time. All information set forth here is subject to change based on the composition of swimmers in each group and
the team in general while maintaining focus on team goals and mission. 03/18/08
