September 20, 2011

Dear Colleague,

This letter is a follow-up to our recent phone discussion about your desire to
participate in an Endodontic Study Club. As you may recall the purpose of this
club would be to improve the level of awareness and endodontic care within our
practices and community. My intention as a life long educator is to gather a
group of general practitioners with whom we have a professional relationship and
who already diagnose and treat endodontic cases within their practices. The
Endodontic Study Club would provide a vehicle for like-minded dentists to share
and exchange information.

The first meeting of the Endodontic Study Club will be held on Thursday, October
20, 2011. We understand that not all of you may be able to attend this initial
meeting because of work schedules or other conflicts, but we will continue to
contact everyone about meetings in the future.

The study club would be hosted at the Endodontic Associates office in
Farmington Hills, but if necessary could be moved to a larger facility. The
meeting will be informal starting at 6:00 pm and ending no later than 8:00 pm.
Pizza and soft drinks will be provided. Prior to the meeting we would encourage
you to send radiographs or digital files of interesting cases, which involve
diagnosis, treatment planning or actual treatment. We would then be happy to
place them in a PowerPoint presentation so that we can project them in our
conference room.

As hosts, my new associate Ali Aminlari and I would serve as moderators and
provide an endodontists perspective as needed. However, the greater value is
being able to connect with other general practitioners who have similar values
and clinical concerns.

Please RSVP by calling our office by Monday, October 3, 2011 so that we can
arrange proper seating, food and beverages and have your films scanned into
computer format.

Thanks again for you interest. Hope to see you soon.

Richard Rubinstein
Ali Aminlari

Dear ________

Thanks to all of you who were able to attend the inaugural meeting of our
Endodontic study club, which was held on October 20, 2011. It was a great success!
Twelve of you were able to attend and we had very good discussions. The feedback
exceeded our expectations. We appreciate those who could attend, taking time out
of their busy schedules. Cases shared included diagnosis, restorability, bruxing,
tooth fractures, and trauma. Each doctor received an AAE Emergency Trauma
poster at the end of the session.

Tip of the month was on EndoVac, a negative pressure irrigation system. At the next
meeting, there will be a twenty-minute demonstration on its uses and technique. We
are open to any suggestions for future topics. Some topics of interest include
trauma, using the Tooth Atlas, rotary file systems, and retreatment versus surgery
or implant. Please continue to send your digital images prior to the next meeting so
that we can continue to share our diagnostic and treatment decisions.

As agreed upon at the initial meeting of the study club, we will plan to meet every
other month and alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays to accommodate the schedules
of those who could not attend the first meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for
January 10, 2012 due to the holiday season. We look forward to the next study club,
hoping that you will be able to attend.

Please feel free to contact your colleagues who have similar endodontic interests.
All are welcome, as our mission is to increase the level of diagnosis and endodontic
treatment in our community.

Sincerely,

Rich Rubinstein
Ali Aminlari
