Aadhaar Payment Bridge System Guide

This document discusses India's Aadhaar payment system which facilitates direct benefit transfers from the government to citizens. It outlines the key stages and players involved, including: 1) Citizens seeding their Aadhaar numbers with government schemes and bank accounts. 2) Banks uploading seeded Aadhaar numbers to the NPCI mapper system. 3) When benefits are distributed, the sponsor bank sends transaction files to the destination banks via NPCI mapper to make funds available to beneficiaries. 4) Over 30 welfare schemes now use Aadhaar payments, including LPG subsidies, pensions, and scholarships. This electronifies retail payments and furthers financial inclusion goals.
