The St. Johns Sunday School Christmas Program is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, @ 5 pm.
We will be presenting, Shepherds, Sheep and a Savior, a 30-minute musical about one of the most
familiar parts of the Christmas story. God chose lowly, humble shepherds to be the first ones to
see the Savior! Please plan to attend!
We have started rehearsing the songs before Sunday School at 9:15 am. We also will have additional
rehearsals on Wednesday, Dec. 3 from 5-6 pm and Sat., Dec. 6 from 9-10:30 am.

Excerpt from Spruce Up Our Spiritual House

by Bishop Elizabeth Eaton
Attending to God is our real work. Set aside the
time. Mark it on the calendar. Then show up.
Show up with our whole selves. Give God our
complete attention. Practicing these disciplines is
not about productivityits about being fully and
expectantly present to God. Spiritual life is not
multitasking. We might shy away from this whole
business because it seems so inward focused and
self-absorbed. Its not. Its the spiritual equivalent
of putting our oxygen mask on first before
assisting others. Practicing these disciplines is so
that we can glorify God and serve in ways that are
abundant and clear.
