Buus Refrigeration in advance of the future

Since 1958 BUUS Refrigeration has developed and produced high
quality refrigeration systems by using the very latest technology in the
eld of refrigeration.
From our base in Froeslev, Denmark we deliver custom built cooling
systems and ice machines to customers all over the world.
Creativity, professionalism and good workmanship are the key ingredients in the day to day production at Buus Refrigeration. Our core
competence is offering solutions which meet the exact requirements
of the customer. To ensure this it is important to us to maintain a close
dialogue and cooperation with the customer from the rst contact is
made throughout the process of dening and developing the optimal
solution in each case.

Fast and exible

BUUS ensures you a fast and exible handling of any inquiry be it a
new order or ordering spare parts for existing systems. All spare parts
are at stock, either at the factory in Denmark or from our local supplier
in your area. We offer you an express day-to-day delivery.
Our data base contains a complete history of all the systems that we
have delivered to customers throughout the years. This gives BUUS a
unique possibility to ensure a fast and efcient assistance in cases of
maintenance questions or a close down. BUUS and our customers have
a mutual interest in ensuring that our systems are reliable even in the
most extreme of circumstances. We also recognize the importance of
making sure that costs in connection to maintenance or close downs
are kept at a minimum.

Ice machines
90 percent of our production of ice machines is made for customers
abroad. We offer a broad range of solutions such as:
Iceakers
Water chillers

Iceakers

BUUS ice machines are compact units with an optimum performance compared to size. Due to product-optimizing and choice of
materials an improvement in performance of 15-20 % in comparison to compatible units is not unusual. The units are seawater proof
and produce iceakes from salt water without problems including
warm salt water.
The machines are available at various capacity and can be placed
where needed in the production.
The ice is mixed amongst the products and the product will cool
down quickly thanks to the big surface of each iceake.

Options
You have several options when you decide on a Buus Ice machine.

Separate system: most of BUUS ice machines are connected directly to existing cooling systems or to systems built by the customer.
All-in-one system: a plug in solution which is an all-in-one unit
combining cooling and freezing all you have to do is connect the
unit to electricity and water.
Split system: Icemaker and cooling unit are placed in such a way
that surplus heating from the cooling unit is kept away from a production. The ice machine takes up very little room and noise is kept
at a minimum.

Water Chillers
BUUS water chillers keep running when others break down. Very often
placed in surroundings with extreme conditions such as very high temperatures our systems are built to withstand extremes, i.e. temperatures
up to 55 C. In most cases we can offer you a solution which uses less
water than your existing installation. Our chillers are able to cool down
close to the freezing-point: 2 C where most existing units will stop at a
temperature of 7-12 C.

Specialized ice machines

We have know-how and experience in making custom made ice machines
for a specialized production, i.e. chock freezing of fruit or animal food.
Other products available are block ice plants and slurry ice machines.

Optimizing existing units

By optimizing/developing your existing unit you may be able to cut
down considerably on running costs. Buus Refrigeration offer several solutions regardingly.

Standard operations system

To run a BUUS cooling or freezing installation ought to be as simple as possible. We work continuously on improving a standard operations system
to ensure optimal efciency, and just as importantly in case of a problem the machine will stop before a situation turns into a break down.

Product development
A close dialogue with our customers and co-operates enables us to be
far-sighted and keep our focus on product development and on optimizing our machines and refrigeration solutions.

Future demands
Buus emphasizes being ahead of future demands regarding laws and
regulations. We keep a close eye on any changes in rules and regulations
within our eld, i.e. on environmental issues. In general Denmark is a
spearhead in the world with regards to improvement of the environment.
BUUS is no exception. We consider developing even more environmental
friendly systems as a challenge and a matter of conscience.
Needless to say - our equipment meets all legislation accordingly and
very often will be steps ahead of the future in this eld. Buus Refrigeration
are well into developing a series of products of indirect cooling systems
where the environmentally friendly refrigerant CO2, NH3, Propan and
Brine will replace HCFC/HFC which can cause damage to the environment.
We focus on being an innovative supplier when developing our series of
products, when designing our machines and when optimizing the efciency of our installations. An ongoing educational scheme ensures that
our employees are kept updated with the very latest knowledge within
the refrigeration eld. This ensures you that a Buus solution meets the
highest of standards regarding quality, efciency and reliability.

Service and quality insurance

Wherever and whenever a problem occurs we are available we guarantee a 24 hour service all year round.
Any new machine or installation cannot leave BUUS Refrigeration without having been tested down to the smallest component. BUUS is PED
certied which ensures that all BUUS ice machines have PED approved
compressor units.

Conditions:
Ambient temp. +2c to +36c., Water temp. +5c to +15c.
Solenoidvalve for water/refrigerant.
Ice thickness 1,1 to 1,3 mm, Ice temp. -2c to -5c.
Gearmotor for isdrum.

Expansion valve for refrigerant.
