Who would be the audience for your media product?
The BBFC certification we have given for our production is 15, this is simply because
as a group we had thought that majority of people who tend to be younger than 15
would find it difficult to understand the narrative of the film and may find some
scenes uncomfortable for them. A 12 certification would be too young for the film
because first of all they may not like the narrative due to the fact they did not
understand the story, secondly it could affect theyre minds, for instance it could
increase their fear and affect them psychologically from the sound effects used.
However an 18 certification for our film would not be smart at all since our film is
mainly targeted at teenagers and some people aged over 18 may not able to relate,
according to research we had collected.

Tanvir favorite TV series are: The Flash, Revenge, Suits and Stalker
The main reason as why I truly believe that our targeted audience is
similar to Tanvir is basically because he tends to like thriller films and enjoys a
suspense in a story. Tanvir is a teenager which means that he is considered part of
our targeted audience. Tanvir would like our opening sequence due to the fact that
our location is a school and Tanvir may have questions on who is behind the
antagonists mask.
Name: Mahum Ali
Age: 19
Likes: Reading, romance and thriller films, and watching TV
Mahum favorite TV series are: Revenge, Sherlock, under the dome and NCIS
Although Mahum is older than my first example, she is still within in our
targeted audience as she is in the age range. Our targeted audience is ranged
from teenagers aged 15 to young adults aged 25. The reason on why I
personally believe that Mahum would be part of our targeted audience for
our media product The Carpenter is because Mahum seems to like watch
TV and to watch Thriller TV series.

General Teenagers
In the picture there is many teenagers in a group from ages 15 to
17. Generally overall they have similar interests such as majority of
the teenagers in the group enjoy thriller films. The teenage group
shown has a range of teenagers from all different ethnical
backgrounds. After I had done my personal research I had clearly
found out that many thriller/horror movies which are similar to
mine such as Final destination 5 (2012) have a BBFC certification of
15 since it does not have any explicit content such as pornography
or any gory scenes which would cause harm or offend anyone
under the age rating.
For our production one of the main aims was to build tension and fear
within the audience as a typical thriller convention. The four technical
aspects; cinematography, mise en scene, editing and sound, which we
had used in our production had helped us achieve our aims of the
production.

then when she got snatched that scared the hell out of me!
