Huntsman currently has an immediate opening for a dynamic individual with proven capability as a Chemcial Engineer in the Conroe, Texas location.
Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

Our summer intern program is tailored to individuals who are currently enrolled full-time students at an accredited, four-year college or
university. The internships run from May to August dependent on the school calendar. The goal of the Huntsman Intern Program is to
provide a structured program that will equip interns with the skills and experience to help prepare for a successful career.
Under close supervision, each intern is responsible in providing technical support to assigned area(s).
After initial orientation, intern will be assigned to manufacturing, process safety management, or process control and will work closely with
process/production engineers and Operations personnel on specific assignments related to meeting daily production goals. Intern will
participate, and eventually lead, troubleshooting efforts related to plant production including safety, environmental, quality and unit
performance issues. Intern will be expected to identify process improvement opportunities related to these troubleshooting efforts. Intern
may also participate in end of the month accounting close tasks ensuring that unit charge and yields are accurate and help investigate
discrepancies.
General Responsibilities:
Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
Assists other employees in accomplishment of Huntsman company goals.
Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Full time college student at the Junior or Senior level by the end of the Spring 2015 semester.
Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university seeking a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
Must be authorized to work in U.S.
Knowledge of the basic principles and methods used in chemical plant manufacturing and analyses.
Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices
and recognizing hazards.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Proficiency of process simulation programs would be beneficial.
