Target UI within the Administration
Dashboard and the built in security of
WD Sentinel, IT Pros and advanced
users now have the ability to partition
their WD Sentinel for both NAS, filebased storage as well as IP-SAN, with
the iSCSI Target solution powered by
StarWind. This capability enables the
Administrator to create multiple iSCSI
targets to meet the specific needs of
their dynamic IT environments.
Complete Support for Mac OS
WD Sentinel now supports Apple
File Protocol (AFP), which provides
complete support for Mac OS client
machines. Now you can utilize Bonjour
to automatically connect devices such
as computers and printers to your
network or you can seamlessly back up
your Mac using Apples Time Machine
backup utility. Using AFP you can also
enjoy faster data transfer over Ethernet
and manage your WD Sentinel server
using the Administration Dashboard
capability for Mac.
