Pfizer Inc. is the world's largest research-based biomedical and pharmaceutical company with
Headquarters located in New York and major research and development locations in the United
States and England. Pfizer Inc. engages in the discovery, development, manufacture, and
marketing of prescription medicines for humans and animals worldwide.

Project Description

Pfizer Inc. is in the process of transitioning to a shared services model with global & regional
presence to enable delivery of cost-effective HR service delivery. The setup of a global shared
services model necessitates the streamlining of processes and creation of a global process model
with localization only specific needs such as local regulatory compliance. Pfizer Inc. has
completed a 13-week assessment to support the definition of scope based on specific criteria.

Based on the assessment, 33 countries have been identified for standardization and are to be
moved to a shared services model over the course of the next 3 years. The processes considered
for standardization was identified based on a 13-week assessment and it consists of HR
Administration, Colleague Data Management, Global Mobility, On-boarding, and Workforce
Tracking (Analytics). It was determined that Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Talent
Management, and Performance Management have been identified as out of scope for this
project.

This Project is for Pfizer, Workforce Manage. This an Online approval process when there is a
change in colleague’s Grade, Pay and Separations. Once the initiating manager initiates a change
in colleague’s job data, it goes through a work flow for approval to higher level managers and
HR support. It basically deals with my organization structure for a Manager who can view and
take actions for his direct reports, indirect reports and open position. Viewing details and taking
action for a Colleague is primarily on Job and Position data. Manager has the ability to change
the following process for his colleagues.

• Analyzing the existing functionality of HRMS 8.9 application and the customized objects
used in PeopleSoft HRMS 8.0.
• Comparing Support module of HRM 8.0 and HRM 8.9 to understand the difference in

Payroll was handled during the Production Support.

Upgrade of the ABSPAY System which was in VB3.0 was upgraded to VB6.0 and the Single Exe
Project for Legacy system was done. The VB FoxPro (7 Applications for HK Benefits) was
upgraded to VB6.0 and the moved successfully into the Production.

Responsibilities

• Making sure that all the remedy impact tickets are tracked to closure with proper resumed
time.
• Reduction of All impact and service requests tickets by 20%.
