Over 150 Whales Found Beached in Ibaraki, Same Thing Happened Before 2011 Tohoku Earthquake

Over 150 melon-headed whales were found beached along a 4 km stretch of shoreline in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. A similar incident occurred before the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Local authorities are concerned this may foreshadow another major earthquake and have started emergency measures. The reason for the mass beaching is unknown but likely due to underwater seismic activity.
