Flirting: Signals and Science

The document discusses how flirting works. It begins by defining flirting as a way for two people to interact and show interest in each other without explicitly stating it, instead using joking, compliments, and physical cues. It describes common flirty behaviors like using a person's name often, complimenting them, touching their arm, leaning in close, and smiling. However, flirting signals can be ambiguous and misunderstood. The document then discusses gender differences in flirting, the biological and evolutionary factors that influence flirting behavior, and how flirting has changed over time with more casual behaviors now accepted compared to Victorian era standards.
