Beta Technical Support Engineer / Program Manager
As a Program Manager, I am responsible for all phases of Beta
program management. These phases include the submission of a
beta program test plan, site recruitment plan, product deployment,
data collection, and final report for product go/no-go
recommendation to the product team. Provide technical support for
Beta products. This involves being a technical liaison between
internal product teams and customer sites performing product
testing. Most noted new products I've been directly involved with
include NSG's Opteron-based servers along with the and the Sun
Fire line of Enterprise Servers, including the most recent Panther
1.8GHz uniboards. As a Program Manager, I am responsible for all
phases of Beta program management. These phases include the
submission of a test plan, site recruitment plan, product
deployment, data collection, and final report for product go/no-go
recommendation to the product team. Beta travel included four
weeks in Taiwan.

SSE: I installed and provided software support for Sun's high-end
servers which include installation, configuration and problem
resolution of E10000s, Enterprise series servers, Sun Clusters and
storage product lines, as well as the newly released T3s. I've
installed, configured multiple E10000 installations and have acted
as lead installer on E10000s at SDSU and SPAWAR. After two
months escalation of Solar Turbines E10000, I was assigned to the
account and assisted in resolving customer issues. I provided new
equipment configuration review and assistance to Sales. I was also
a software/hardware support resource for Sun Field Support
Engineers and Sun partners. I hold Sun Solaris Administration and
StorTools certification.
