THE CRKT LIMITED LIFETIME
KNIFE WARRANTY.
This warranty covers any defects in materials
or workmanship. If one of our knives ever
breaks or fails because of material or manufacturing defect, well replace the knife.
This warranty runs as long as you own
your knife. Coverage ends if you sell or
otherwise transfer the knife to someone else,
or if your CRKT knife is modified in any way.
This warranty does not cover breakage or
failure due to misuse of the knife. Knives as
good as ours rarely break or fail because of
a defect. Usually they break or fail from what
we call tool abuseusing them for unsuitable tasks like prying or pounding. Therefore,
blade tip breakage is not covered by our
warranty. Use of a knife for any purpose
other than cutting voids the warranty. So
please match the tool to the task, and use
your knife only for cutting. The knife will last
longer, and youll be safer too. This warranty
does not cover failure of mechanisms due to
your failure to properly maintain them.
Also, consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this warranty.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of consequential damages, so this
exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.
Misuse of your knife can cause serious
injury or even death. It can also cause your
knife to break or fail and the CRKT limited
lifetime warranty will not apply. Failure to
properly maintain your knife also may cause
its mechanisms to not function properly,
which could result in injury to you or damage
to the knife. Follow the dos and donts which
are included in your CRKT knife package and
the knife will last longer and youll be safer
too.
THE CRKT ACCESSORY WARRANTY.
CRKT accessories, including deployment
systems, and sharpeners have a one-year
limited warranty against defects in material
or manufacturing.

TINY
TIGHE BREAKER
M16 EDC-Z
CARSON
Brian Tighes dramatic new folder has it all: assisted opening,
AutoLAWKS, dual finger choils and sculpted metallic-tone nylon scales.
hen we saw custom knifemaker and Knifemakers Guild member
Brian Tighes custom Tighe Breaker folder, we were immediately
excited about offering a production version. We asked Brian to
design a slightly smaller personal carry model with a 2.875 blade,
which he calls the Tiny Tighe Breaker.
It was a perfect opportunity for us to incorporate all the technology at our
disposal in a stunning, functional and affordable statement.
For example, the Tiny Tighe Breaker is available with our patented1
OutBurst assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully
open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees.
To maximize safety, we built in our exclusive patented2 AutoLAWKS that
automatically actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual
fixed blade instantly.
For the first time in a production knife, we were able to use cell-phone manufacturing technology to create nylon scales with an extremely durable textured
metallic coating.
Finally, our black-on-black model is available with Razor-Sharp or Combination Razor-Sharp and Serrated blade grinds featuring our exclusive Veff Serrated edges. Developed by Oregon City, Oregon, knife designer Tom Veff, these
serrations are wide and angled at 60 to the edge. The resulting cutting points
bite instantly and dig deep upon contact, slicing smoothly and effortlessly.
Materials and construction are also first cabin. We use premium AUS 8 stainless steel for the modified Tanto blade. The standard model features a high satin
blade finish, while our K models receive a non-reflective black titanium nitride
coating. Dual stainless steel thumb studs allow fast either-hand opening. And we
use our rigid InterFrame build with two stainless steel liners, one locking, and a
solid Zytel back spacer.
The fluted handle, while graceful, is primarily designed for sure grip, with
deep dual finger choils and a pronounced pommel. It comes complete with a
custom removable stainless steel clothing/gear clip.
So the Tiny Tighe Breaker not only defines the state-of-the-art in folding
knives today, it also defines value.
The OutBurst assist mechanism is easily removed or
replaced, held in place by a
single set screw.
AutoLAWKS means that your
Tiny Tighe Breaker becomes
a virtual fixed blade when you
open and lock the blade.

MINI MY TIGHE
By popular demand, heres our new personal carry sized
version of Brian Tighes striking assisted opening folder.
fter we introduced Brian Tighes popular production My Tighe in
2006, the questions began: When can I get a slightly smaller personal
carry version? So we went to Brian with the request, and he designed
the Mini My Tighe. It is not simply a scaled-down version of the
bigger frame-lock model, but was carefully reproportioned by Brian, reflecting
his passion for design detail.
Like the larger My Tighe, we are offering two models, one in satin finish and
one in black. Handle length is 3.73 and weight is reduced to 3.8 ounces, much
more convenient for daily in-pocket carry.
The 3.0 blade also has asymmetrical spine facets, high-hollow grind and
deep belly with recurve. Steel is 1.4116 stainless in a high satin finish. Both
Razor-Sharp and Combination Razor-Sharp and Veff Serrated edges are available. On our K models, the blade is coated with black non-reflective titanium
nitride for maximum corrosion resistance.
The smaller frame-lock folder also has an open build with heavy-duty 420J2
stainless steel frames and a 6061 T6 aluminum back spacer. Frames are beadblast on the bright models, and black EDP plated on the K models. The injection-molded black Zytel scales have a deep random dimpled texture. Torx
fasteners are used throughout.
We offer each model as a conventional non-assisted opener, or with our
patented* OutBurst assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs the
blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees. All
have bronze and Teflon bearings at the adjustable blade pivot for smooth, fast
action.
Like its bigger brother, dual ramped thumb studs allow the Mini My Tighe to
be quickly opened with either hand.
The smaller models also feature a custom removable black Teflon-plated
stainless steel pocket/gear clip.
So if you love the My Tighe, the Mini My Tighe gives you all the style, all the
features, and all the performance in a compact package. Why, it reminds us of
another successful Mini.
The OutBurst assist mechanism is easily removed or
replaced, held in place by a
single set screw.
Exclusive Veff Serrations are
angled and scalloped to cut
quickly and smoothly through
rope, cord, and vegetation.

MY TIGHE
Brian Tighes exciting custom design is a distinctive, award-winning
CRKT production folder in bead-blast or black dress with Veff Serrations.
anadian knifemaker Brian Tighe is a true Renaissance Man, with an
array of professional skills including tool and die making, metallurgy,
engraving and photography. In his St. Catharines, Ontario, workshop, he
produces a wide array of custom folders, all with those signature
touches that immediately make them stand out as Brian Tighe knives.
We have carefully translated Brians popular My Tighe custom frame-lock
folder into an affordable production line, with four models in bead-blast finish
and two in black. At first glance, the knife seems like a design exercise until
you grasp it and understand that the concave cut scales are craftily shaped to
enhance grip, aggressive with contours in just the right places.
Brians blade design is unique too, with its asymmetrical spine facets, highhollow grind and deep belly with recurve. We use 1.4116 stainless steel in a
high satin finish and offer both Razor-Sharp and our exclusive Combination Razor-Sharp and Veff Serrated edges. Designed by knifemaker Tom Veff, these
unique scalloped and angled serrations cut through rope and cord smoothly
without snagging. On our K models, the blade is coated with black non-reflective titanium nitride for maximum corrosion resistance.
The frame-lock folder has an open build with heavy-duty 420J2 stainless steel
frames and a 6061 T6 aluminum back spacer. Frames are bead-blast on the
bright models, and black EDP plated on the K models. The injection-molded
black Zytel scales have a carbon fibre texture. Torx fasteners are used
throughout.
Each model is available in conventional non-assisted opening models, or with
our patented* OutBurst assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs
the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30. All have
bronze and Teflon bearings at the adjustable blade pivot for fast action.
Dual ramped thumb studs allow the My Tighe to be quickly opened with
either hand.
All models feature a removable black Teflon-plated pocket/gear clip.
Its hard to ignore any Brian Tighe design, especially these highly personal
work knives. Carry one and you will certainly start a conversation among knife
fanciers everywhere. The knife industry was so impressed at the Blade Show in
Atlanta, Georgia, it was named the 2006 Imported Knife of the Year.
The OutBurst assist mechanism is easily removed or
replaced, held in place by a
single set screw.
My Tighe features: a heavyduty frame lock, textured Zytel
scales, stainless steel clip and
dual ramped thumb studs.

KOMMER FULL THROTTLE
Pedal to the metal. Heres a hefty all-steel frame-lock Russ Kommer folder
that leaves the competition in the dust. Now with Veff Serrations.
ook through the CRKT catalog, and you will see page after page of
successful hunting and fishing knife designs by Knifemakers Guild
member and Alaskan guide Russ Kommer, whose custom knife shop is
now in Fargo, North Dakota. But Russ blew us away with his prototype
for the Full Throttle, which is definitely a rock-solid personal frame-lock folder
that is made even slicker by the addition of our patented* OutBurst assisted
opening mechanism. It is a classy everyday carry with a flat profile that fills the
hand and has perfect balance.
His design uses a hefty open build. The frames are 420J2 stainless steel in a
lightly textured 25-micron-thick blue/black polyurethane hard enamel finish.
Often used for surveillance equipment, tripods and computer parts, this thin,
hard coating gives superior protection from corrosion, abrasion, and impact. A
pronounced finger choil enhances grip.
Gold-plated fasteners, blade stop pin, and dual checkered thumb studs add
a distinctive custom touch. We have also replicated Russs back spacer in goldanodized 6061 T6 aluminum, complete with CNC-machined file work.
The premium AUS 8 stainless steel blade in a high satin finish features a highhollow grind. Both Razor-Sharp and our exclusive Combination Razor-Sharp and
Veff Serrated edges are available. Designed by knifemaker Tom Veff, these
unique scalloped and angled serrations cut through rope and cord smoothly
without snagging.
Both blade styles are available in conventional non-assisted opening models,
or with our patented* OutBurst assisted opening mechanism, which instantly
springs the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30.
All have bronze and Teflon bearings at the adjustable blade pivot for smooth,
fast action.
A high-mounted custom removable mirror-finish stainless steel clothing/gear
clip gives this rugged all-metal work knife great versatility for carry in pockets or
on belts and gear.
As usual, we have priced Russs design very competitively to assure that it is
an excellent value, and as we do with all our knives, backed it with CRKTs lifetime limited warranty. Its a knife designed to perform, whether at idle, cruising
speed, or Full Throttle.
The OutBurst assist mechanism is easily removed or
replaced, held in place by a
single set screw.

KOJI HARA ICHI
Award-winning Japanese knifemaker Koji Hara created this
perfectly balanced personal knife series especially for CRKT.
e were delighted when internationally known Japanese knifemaker
and American Knifemakers Guild member Koji Hara agreed to
design a personal knife for CRKT. Koji is noted for his custom
folders in exotic materials, and is especially known for his carving of
the handle material into a classic terraced landscape that he calls his Air-Step
design. Our goal was to apply Kojis remarkable design sense to a small personal
folder which could incorporate our patented OutBurst assisted opening
mechanism.
Logically, we called this first CRKT Koji Hara series Ichi, Japanese for one.
For rigidity and strength, we used our InterFrame open build, with two 420J2
stainless steel liners. In a first for CRKT, we created layered injection-molded
scales of Kraton and Zytel, the latter with Kojis terraced Air-Step design.
The result is a small knife that gives good grip, fits the hand nicely, and is truly
functional for a variety of work tasks.
The handle tapers neatly into a modified drop point pen blade with a highhollow grind made of high-carbon stainless steel. An ambidextrous thumb disk
allows easy one-hand opening.
The Ichi is available in three color schemes: The bright version has a beadblast blade, frame, and clip with gray Zytel scale inserts and black fasteners.
The black-out version features a black titanium nitride blade coating, black
Zytel inserts, black hardware and black Teflon-plated clip. The red and black
version features the same black blade, insert and clip treatment as the black-out
version with a subtle red scale tone. If desired, the stainless steel clips are easily
removed.
Each model is available in conventional non-assisted opening models, or with
our patented* OutBurst assisted opening mechanism, which instantly springs
the blade fully open after you have opened the blade approximately 30 degrees.
All have bronze and Teflon bearings at the adjustable blade pivot for smooth,
fast action.
Most of us cant carry a Koji Hara custom collectible daily, but the Ichi is a
friendly and affordable reminder of one of Japans premier custom knifemakers.

The OutBurst assist mechanism is easily removed or
replaced, held in place by a
single set screw.
The removable stainless
steel clip attaches the Ichi to
pockets, belts or bags.

VAN HOY ON FIRE
Heres a hot little number from Ed Van Hoy with OutBurstassisted opening,
LAWKS safety, and all the patented curves in the right places.
ward-winning custom knifemaker and Knifemakers Guild member Ed
Van Hoy has designed a number of hot sellers for CRKT, but this one is
On Fire. No really, thats its name, On Fire, and it has all the right
equipment to be one of our most popular personal knives.
This time Eds torrid notion is a frame-lock folder that is not only a shapely
form in stainless steel and aluminum, but incorporates our advanced CRKT
technology.
For example, our patented1 OutBurst assisted opening mechanism instantly
springs the blade fully open after you have used the knurled thumb stud to open
the blade approximately 30 degrees. Action is super slick, thanks to bronze and
Teflon bearings at the adjustable blade pivot. Conventional non-assisted models
are also available for those who prefer them or to meet jurisdictional requirements.
Also neatly incorporated at the pivot is the patented2 Lake And Walker Knife
Safety (LAWKS), which effectively converts your folder into a virtual fixed
blade when actuated and that makes the On Fire not only a fast folder, but a
very safe one.
The On Fires 2.375 drop point blade is premium AUS 8 stainless steel in a
contemporary bead-blast finish. It is available in both Razor-Sharp or Combined
Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges. A swedged top grind and four
lightening holes add to its appeal.
Eds open build is an unusual combination of a 420J2 stainless steel frame-lock
with a 6061 T6 black anodized aluminum side plate, both liberally slotted and
drilled to save weight.
Finally, a removable custom bead-blast stainless steel pocket/gear clip gives
all the carry options imaginable, in pocket, on belt, or in bags and briefcases.
Maybe most important, this is a knife that is easy on the eye. Every curve is in
the right place; every motion fluid like those of a good dancer.
Ed Van Hoy continues to light our fire.
The OutBurst assist mechanism is easily removed or
replaced, held in place by a
single set screw.

VAN HOY SNAP FIRE
Another award-winning creation from Ed Van Hoys imagination.
Strength. Utility. Innovation. Safety. And Bling Bling.
e wonder what Ed Van Hoy dreams about. If his Snap Fire was just
a decorative design exercise, we might suggest an antacid before
dozing off. But it is a fully functional folder with Eds new patentpending lock which performs just as beautifully as it looks.
Our production Snap Fire is based on Eds award-winning custom Damascus
Snap Fire, which was named Most Innovative Knife at the 2004 Knifemakers
Guild Show and Imported Knife of the Year at the 2005 Blade Show.
In this folder, Eds pivot slide lock allows the blade pivot to move, unlike any
other folder we know of. The pivot is on a sliding block recessed in the aluminum frame. Pressing down on the pivot wheels with the thumb lowers the
spring-loaded pivot block, releasing the AUS 8 stainless steel blade from the
stainless steel locking post. This lubricated mechanism is sealed by brass and
bronze plates, designed to give a lifetime tight fit.
We have also incorporated our patented* LAWKS knife safety. When actuated it makes the Snap Fire a virtual fixed blade. Pull it back and you can fold the
knife normally.
To cut weight, the 7075 T6 gray anodized aluminum frame is CNC machined
to the minimum. The Teflon-plated stainless steel skeletonized blade guard
keeps the blade from accidentally opening, and reflects the design of the removable pocket/money clip on the opposite side of the frame.
The 2.375 modified drop point blade is long enough for real work tasks. It
has a bead-blast finish and is available in both Razor-Sharp or Combined RazorSharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges.
The Snap Fires thumb wheels are stainless steel with a spectral titanium
nitride coating. Because of the nature of the process, every one is slightly different, making each Snap Fire unique.
In 2006, we introduced a black-on-black model, with a black titanium nitridecoated blade, black anodized frame, black hardware and AutoLAWKS.
The more you open and close the Snap Lock, the more you examine it, the
more it becomes obvious that you must own one. Ed says that this is the first
knife that customers reach for at his show booth.
We like it for its utility. But if you like it for its bling bling, thats okay, too.

VAN HOY SNAP LOCK & SNAP LOCK 2
Just about everybody likes these award-winning ambidextrous
side-opening folders and money clip knives, in two ingenious packages.
d Van Hoy is a well-known Virginia custom knifemaker and instructor
who has a flair for the dramatic and unusual. When his custom Snap
Lock was given the Most Innovative Knife Award at the American
Knifemakers Guild Show, we knew we had to offer a production version,
and here it is, the CRKT Snap Lock. It immediately won the Designer Knife
award at the 2004 IWA show in Nuremberg, Germany, and was named Overall
Knife of the Year at the 2004 Blade Show in Atlanta, Georgia.
When closed, the AUS 4 stainless steel wishbone frame is a 100% effective
blade edge guard; when open, it is a minimal but very usable handle. The harder
you grip the handle, the more it locks the blade in place, thanks to twelve positive
locking surfaces between the frame and locking lugs, so it is a very safe and
secure system.
The next question was, When can I get a smaller personal version? Ultimately, we were able to create the Snap Lock 2 at 70% of the original size, resulting in a
little gem with a 1.75 (4.4 cm) blade, weighing only 1.5 ounces (43 g).
Eds cam locking system features two thumb wheels, for truly ambidextrous
use. The pocket/money clips are removable, and left and right clips are included
with the larger models. The blade can pivot a full 360 with no clip, or 180 in
either direction with a stainless steel clip in place. Simply press the thumb wheel
and rotate the blade. Opening and closing can be accomplished with one hand
and is truly slick and quick.
The AUS 4 stainless steel blade itself has a subtle drop point shape, almost a
Wharncliffe, and is available in both Razor-Sharp or Combined Razor-Sharp and
Triple-Point Serrated edges. Five lightening holes also add a decorative touch.
Blade, frame, and clip have a contemporary bead-blast finish.
It has been called a far-out folder but the more you handle and carry the
Snap Lock, the more you realize it is one great work tool. All-steel construction
means it is just about indestructible, and will last for years. The handle itself is
likely the biggest spring ever devised for a knife-locking mechanism, so it will
last for the life of the knife.
The decisions of the jury were almost unanimous, stated Margaret Spindler,
Chair of the IWA jury and consultant for the Knife Award. The jury commented,
Everything in one: gadget, ornament, utensil and money clip.
The Snap Locks unique cam
opening and locking mechanism allows fast one-hand
opening and closing. Snap!

ELISHEWITZ ANUBIS
A serious knife from a serious knifemaker. This is one hefty and secure
open-build button lock, complete with our AutoLAWKS safety.
llen Elishewitz is an acclaimed young Canyon Lake, Texas, knifemaker
who offers a surprising range of custom knives, many with Egyptianthemed names. We asked Allen to design a production version of his
Anubis (the jackal-headed god of the underworld, according to ancient
Egyptian mythology). Our new CRKT Anubis shows its lineage as an Elishewitz shape, with the benefits of advanced production technology.
The blade shape is uniquely Allens, with a pronounced drop point, long spine
and a high hollow grind, resulting in strength and cutting power. For superior
edge retention, we use AUS 8 stainless steel in a non-reflective bead-blast finish.
It is available in both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point
Serrated edge grinds. A gold-plated Elishewitz logo is inset into the stainless
steel blade in the manner of custom knives.
Teflon and brass bearings at the blade pivot assure fast either-hand opening,
using dual checkered thumb studs which also act as blade stops.
The button lock gives absolute steel-on-steel lockup, resulting in the strongest
lock possible. We have added a version of our patented* automatic safety, AutoLAWKS, giving maximum security against accidental closing. To fold the knife,
you must pull back the AutoLAWKS lever and press the button at the same time,
making accidental release during vigorous use just about impossible.
Allens design also features an unusual open build with a Zytel spine back
spacer that allows easy cleaning of the blade groove. Construction is stainless
steel for the frame with injection-molded Zytel scales and an inset brushed stainless steel bolster at the butt. The handle perfectly fits the average adult hand.
Dual reliefs at the finger choil aid grip, and make opening easier.
Everything about the Anubis shouts strength. It has the rigidity, sure lockup
and heft of folders costing twice as much, and we welcome comparison.
Of course, in the CRKT tradition, both models come with a removable stainless steel clothing/gear clip, and all fasteners are Torx.
This is a sport and work knife that is built to be around for a long, long time.
Who knows? Like Anubis, it may prove to be immortal.

ELISHEWITZ PHARAOH
A knife born to be king of the hill (or pyramid), with a special blade grind,
hefty open build, strong button lock and our AutoLAWKS safety.
es, yes, we know. Those of you who love to drool over Allen Elishewitzs
web site of exquisite custom knives have pointed out that our new
production CRKT Pharaoh is very different from Allens custom
Pharaoh. Sorry for any confusion, but this is a unique design that
incorporates many of Allens themes, and we felt it was so special it deserved to
be called king. You will look very hard to find a production knife in this price
class that is anything like the Pharaoh, so it does stand a bit larger than life.
First there is the unique blade grind, reminiscent of the traditional long clip
blade of a century ago, with Allens own innovations. The tip is designed for
penetraton, with a swedged top edge. But the center of the blade is recurved,
with a high hollow grind, making it ideal for feeding material to the cutting
edge wood, cord, vegetation. The blade is AUS 8 premium stainless steel in a
bead-blast finish. Both both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and TriplePoint Serrated edge grinds are available.
The frame is about the strongest we can imagine, with dual stainless steel liners, brushed stainless steel bolsters, textured injection-molded Zytel scales, and
a solid Zytel back spacer at the spine.
The Pharaoh is a button lock, featuring steel-on-steel lockup. In addition, we
have added our patented* AutoLAWKS automatic safety, which engages when
the blade is opened and locked. We believe this combination makes just about
the strongest and most secure lockup possible in a folder.
Dual checkered thumb studs allow fast either-hand-opening. To close the
Pharaoh, you must pull back the AutoLAWKS lever with the finger while pressing the button lock. The chances that this folder can close accidentally are very
minimal, if not absolutely zero.
The Pharaoh uses Torx fasteners throughout. A removable high-mounted
custom stainless steel pocket/gear clip has a bead-blast finish.
Historically, the pharaohs were held in awe by all those around them. We think
our Pharaoh is awesome, too. It might just be the most remarkable folder we
have ever built.
Allens unique design is not
your everyday blade grind, but
a very strong and functional
one nonetheless.

H.U.G. & H.U.G. 2
Yes, this was Halligans Ultimate Gadget (H.U.G.) in the K.I.S.S. series,
and his next-generation two-piece knife is truly High Utility Gear.
ow do you follow one of the most successful designs in modern knife
history? Ed Halligans original two-piece K.I.S.S. (Keep It Super
Simple) money clip knife has been a sensation for nearly a decade. But
we call Eds latest two-piece design Halligans Ultimate Gadget
(H.U.G.) because it is virtually as small, simple and lightweight as the K.I.S.S.,
but so much more sophisticated and versatile.
Like the K.I.S.S., the H.U.G. is a Frame Lock folder with a single-sided
blade. However, Ed has refined almost every aspect.
The 2.30 blade is now a modified spear point with a single-side grind which
seals against the frame. It is more useful for the type of pen knife tasks most
users will give the knife. Blade material is high-carbon stainless steel in a beadblast finish, and both Razor-Sharp or Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point
Serrated edges are available in the larger-size H.U.G.
The frame, also bead-blast high-carbon stainless steel, now uses an ingenious
internal Frame Lock. A single Zytel scale makes the handle fit the hand better,
and also helps prevent the blade from accidental opening. A finger choil on the
bottom of the frame and friction grooves at the thumb area make for a more
secure grip, and give more comfort during extended use.
A compact custom stainless steel pocket/money clip makes this a handy and
useful personal carry in all situations.
Ed has also designed a smaller model, the H.U.G. 2, which is about the size
of his very successful P.E.C.K. (Precision Engineered Compact Knife), with a
1.78 blade. Again, this little gem weighs only 1.5 ounces and fits in pocket or
purse. Its a handy pen knife, money clip and emergency knife.
Yes, the shape is different from the K.I.S.S. and more refined, but the purpose
remains the samehigh utility from a minimal design. And like the original
K.I.S.S. knife series, all three H.U.G. models are excellent values, built to the
highest-quality standards.
So whether you think of it as Halligans Ultimate Gadget or High Utility Gear,
never turn down a little H.U.G.
16
This single Zytel scale improves handle grip and comfort, and also guards against
accidental blade opening.
H.U.G. models incorporate
high-carbon steel frames with
cleverly designed mid-frame
locks adding to their utility.

K.I.S.S. TWO-TIMER
Ed Halligan meets Ed Van Hoy in a high-tech collaboration
resulting in an amazing dual-blade K.I.S.S. with LAWKS .
ne day Ed Van Hoy was looking at a CRKT Original K.I.S.S. designed
by Ed Halligan. A light came on in his head. He saw a cool way to add a
second blade, and sent a handmade sample knife to us. Because both
Eds are successful custom knife designers for CRKT, we did the
gentlemanly thing, called Ed Halligan, and got the two of them together.
Its a tribute to Ed Halligan that as the designer of the original, and most successful and copied two-piece knife ever, he was willing to collaborate to make his
brainchild even more sophisticated. Soon the K.I.S.S. Two-Timer was born.
There was much work to be done. The Eds had to design a detent mechanism that would allow both the large blade and small blade to open and lock
independently.
The result is a unique Frame Lock folder with two blades. The 2.375 large
blade is Tanto-inspired with a Chisel-Point grind on the front and flat on the
backsideso that when the blade is closed onto its handle/frame, the precision
fit effectively seals the cutting edge to the frame. The small 2.125 drop point
pen knife blade folds perfectly into a CNC-machined relief in the larger blade.
A milled slot is used to one-hand open the large blade. The small blade is
opened by pressing the extended blade tang with the finger. Both blades can be
closed with one hand, simply by releasing the LAWKS lever and Frame Lock.
We asked the Eds to incorporate the patented* Lake And Walker Knife Safety
(LAWKS) on the larger blade. When the LAWKS lever is pushed forward with
a flick of the thumb, the knife becomes a virtual fixed blade, and the Frame Lock
is virtually impossible to release by the most vigorous use until the LAWKS lever
is retracted.
The large blade, frame, and custom stainless steel pocket/money clip are
420J2 stainless steel in bright vibratory finish. The smaller blade is 420J2 stanless steel with a bead-blast finish.
So there you have it, the most sophisticated K.I.S.S. ever built, with one hefty
blade for tough jobs, one small blade for detail tasks. And its still a thin and
lightweight personal key fob and money clip knife, just like the Original K.I.S.S.
Two blades. Too cool. Proof that two Eds are better than one.
The Two-Timers smaller pen
knife blade fits perfectly in this
CNC-machined relief in the
larger Tanto blade.

K.I.S.S. IN THE DARK
Ed Halligan has more KISSes for you. Pucker up.
The original series is available in black Teflon plating.
ot only is black the most popular color in knives in recent years, but it
has real functional value. It is less reflective and creates a protective
barrier against corrosion. So it is only natural that we would offer
Knifemakers Guild member and K.I.S.S. designer Daddy K.I.S.S. Ed
Halligans creations in black dress. Todays technology allows the blade, frame
and clip to receive a special Teflon plating that is tough and long lasting.
K.I.S.S. stands for Keep It Super Simple. Its one honey of a knife, precision fine blanked for superior fit and smooth operation. Ed Halligans unique
two-piece construction features an integral Frame Lock, and a breakthrough
design which seals the cutting edge against the handle. Blade and frame are
420J2 stainless steel.
A thumb stud is used to one-hand open the blade, and as the blade is fully
rotated open, the Frame Lock snaps crisply in behind the blade to give a sound
lockup. The blade can be closed with one hand, simply by releasing the Frame
Lock.
The K.I.S.S. in the Dark blade shape is Tanto-inspiredChisel-Point grind
on the front and flat on the backsideso that when the blade is closed onto its
handle/frame, the precision fit effectively seals the cutting edge to the frame,
even though its exposed.
The P.E.C.K. in the Dark (or Precision Engineered Compact Knife) is
Eds baby, weighing less than 1 oz. and only 2.625 inches long when closed. Just
think of it as a sweet little K.I.S.S. When open, the graceful 1.75 Razor-Sharp
Wharncliffe blade is a high-performance cutting tool suited for hundreds of daily
tasks.
The design of the K.I.S.S. series pocket/money clip permits them to be used
in a variety of ways: clipped to the pocket; as a money clip knife; and with splitring or lanyard, as a key chain knife.
This series has demonstrated instant appeal to law enforcement, the military
and to those who just like its cool look.

hardware on this K.I.S.S.
series are also black.

A thumb stud is used to one-hand open the blade, and as the blade is fully
rotated open, the Frame Lock snaps crisply in behind the blade to give a sound
lockup. The blade can be closed with one hand, simply by releasing the Frame
Lock.
Both blade and frame are 420J2 stainless steel in a fine bead-blast finish.
The Original K.I.S.S. blade shape is Tanto-inspiredChisel-Point grind
on the front and flat on the backsideso that when the blade is closed onto its
handle/frame, the precision fit effectively seals the cutting edge to the frame,
even though its exposed.
Delilahs P.E.C.K. (or Precision Engineered Compact Knife) is Eds baby,
weighing less than 1 oz. and only 2.625 inches long when closed. Just think of it
as a sweet little K.I.S.S. When open, the graceful 1.75 Razor-Sharp Wharncliffe
blade is a high-performance cutting tool suited for hundreds of daily tasks.
The design of the K.I.S.S. series pocket/money clip permits them to be used
in a variety of ways: clipped to the pocket; as a money clip knife; and with splitring or lanyard, as a key chain knife.
In the wake of the success of the K.I.S.S., a flock of imitators has appeared;
none offers the simple elegance of Ed Halligans original design, and none
offers the value of CRKT quality manufacturing. In fact, the more Eds design is
imitated, the better it looks.

At last. Kit Carsons classic custom folder is now a CRKT production model,
complete with OutBurstassisted opening and AutoLAWKS.
ustom knifemaker and Knifemakers Guild member Kit Carson is widely
known for his M16 design, which we offer in many CRKT production
models. But since 1990, Kits most consistent selling custom model has
been his classic M4. In his usual unassuming manner, Kit says, I
guess youd say its my flagship custom. Its simple, with form following
function. No tricks that look slick but arent worth a flip in your hand. Ive made
many variations on it, from exotic collectibles to working tacticals, in maybe 20
versions. But I still get more and more calls to make the M4.
So finally, here is the production CRKT M4 that you can afford to carry
every day, anywhere. And while we were engineering it, we decided to add
some more value by offering our patented1 OutBurst assisted opening as an
option, and our patented2 and exclusive AutoLAWKS which automatically
actuates when the folder is opened and locked, creating a virtual fixed blade
instantly for the ultimate in safety.
Traditionalists can buy the M4 as a conventional non-assisted opener, while
the more progressive can choose our patented OutBurst assisted opening
mechanism, which instantly springs the blade fully open after you have opened
the blade approximately 30 degrees. Both styles have dual thumb studs for ambidextrous one-hand opening and bronze and Teflon bearings at the adjustable
blade pivot for smooth, fast action.
The blade is a high-hollow-grind drop point of premium AUS 8 stainless steel
in a bead-blast finish. Both Razor-Sharp and our exclusive Combined RazorSharp and Veff Serrated edges are available. Developed by Oregon City,
Oregon, knife designer Tom Veff, these serrations are wide and angled at 60
degrees to the edge. The resulting cutting points bite instantly and dig deep
upon contact, slicing smoothly and effortlessly.
Our heavy-duty InterFrame build is true to Kits design, with dual stainless steel liners, one locking, and a 6061 T6 anodized aluminum back spacer.
Brushed stainless steel bolsters are inset with textured black Zytel scales.
Finally a high-mounted pocket/gear clip allows low in-pocket carry.
So here you have a friendly work knife that fits the hand naturally for all kinds
of cutting and carving tasks. Like Kit, its a bit unassuming, but its a knife youll
come back to year after year.
20
The OutBurst assist mechanism is easily removed or
replaced, held in place by a
single set screw.
AutoLAWKS means that your
M4 becomes a virtual fixed
blade when you open and lock
the blade.

And then you asked for Kit Carsons aluminum frame build with a powerful,
deep-bellied spear point blade. You got it, and now with AutoLAWKS.
hen a series like Kit Carsons aluminum handled line has been so
successful, it is bound to spark calls for variations. In this case, the
request was for a deep-bellied spear point blade with recurve. As
soon as we saw the first sketches, we knew we should offer it in two
sizes similar to the Little Bulldog and Big Dog.
The swedged and recurved blade is ground to a spear point shape, using premium AUS 8 stainless steel in non-reflective frost finish to offer superior edge
retention. The grind incorporates a false top edge and deep belly, yet retains a
full width central spine for most of its length for maximum strength. We offer
both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edge
grinds.
Teflon bearings at the blade pivot assure velvety-smooth one-hand opening
and closing, using Kit Carsons trademark dual checkered thumb studs which
also act as a blade stop.
M21 models feature the very popular Carson Flipper blade extension,
which aids opening and acts as an additional blade guard.
Kit Carsons open build uses contoured handles of 6061 T6 aluminum, hard
anodized charcoal gray. They are CNC machined with a perimeter radius for a
comfortable grip with or without work gloves, skeletonized to reduce weight.
There is a single stainless steel locking liner with friction grooves for positive
locking.
This year we incorporated our patented* AutoLAWKS automatic knife
safety into all M21 models, which converts them into virtual fixed blades when
their blades are open and locked.
Every model features a removable Teflon-plated stainless steel clothing/gear
clip. All fasteners, including the clip screws, are Torx.
So there you have it. If you love the Carson line, but your work tasks demand
a deep-bellied blade, the M21 is the series for you. Same premium build, same
functional features, same long life, same excellent value.
The Carson Flipper aids opening and AutoLAWKS turns the
M21 into a virtual fixed blade
automatically.

All the zip, oh wow, and features of Kit Carsons Big Dog M16s
in a compact Every Day Carry, now with AutoLAWKS.
fter the incredible success of Kit Carsons original aluminum M16
Series, we began to get comments like this, I love my M16 Big Dog, but
I wish I had a bit more compact size that I could carry every day, both
on the job and at leisure. These requests reached the point that we
could not ignore them, so here they are: the M16 EDC (Every Day Carry).
While we were at the task of scaling down and refining the designs, we also
decided to offer models with both Black and British Racing Green handles, and
with non-reflective black titanium nitride coated blades.
We took the opportunity to incorporate our new patented* AutoLAWKS, an
advanced version of the Lake And Walker Knife Safety, into all M16 EDC models, which automatically converts them into virtual fixed blades when opened.
We have made the contoured handles long enough for real work tasks. They
are still 6061 T6 hard anodized aluminum, CNC machined with a perimeter
radius for comfort. A stainless steel locking liner with friction grooves gives positive locking.
As in the larger models, premium AUS 8 stainless steel was chosen for blade
steel, for its edge retention and durability.
All models feature the Carson Flipper extension to the blade, which aids
opening and acts as an additional blade guard.
The M16-10 models feature Tanto-style blades with dual hollow grinds and
Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges. They offer maximum
strength in a blade of this size.
The M16-01 models have spear point blades with Razor-Sharp edges. They
are versatile utility blades for a variety of jobs.
One-hand opening and closing is as velvet smooth as the larger M16s, the
result of Teflon bearings at the blade pivot. The ambidextrous thumb studs
with checkered surface provide instant access in any circumstance.
All models feature a removable black Teflon-plated stainless steel clothing/
gear clip.
Not novelties, but real work kniveshigh-performing little guys, like jockeys
and featherweight boxers. And they can still be a handful.
EDC features include: the
Carson Flipper, AutoLAWKS

Value and versatility: Kit Carsons M16 designs with AutoLAWKS,
Zytel scales, stainless steel InterFrame, and a tough AUS 4 blade.
hen we considered offering Kit Carsons very popular aluminum
M16 design in a more affordable build, we turned to our very
successful InterFrame construction.
Instead of aluminum handles, we use tough, textured Zytel scales
over a 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame. We overbuild it for rigidity, using
solid Zytel back spacers. And we assemble the handle with superior offset Torx
fasteners.
The handle is slightly heftier and wider than our aluminum build M16, but it is
exceptionally rigid. To some of us, it actually fills the hand better.
We use our tough AUS 4 high-carbon stainless steel for the blades to give
greater everyday utility, and offer both Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp
and Triple-Point Serrated edges. All models feature the Carson Flipper, which
is not only an aid to opening the blade, especially when wearing gloves, but acts
as a blade guard when the blade is open.
The M16-02Z and 12Z are tough little bulldogs, with dual grind Tanto-style
blades.
The M16-03Z and 13Z are slimmer designs with spear point blades. They
are ideal for a variety of carry positions.
The hefty M16-04Z and 14Z Big Dogs offer larger dual grind Tanto-style
blades. These are full-size working knives suited to large hands and heavy-duty
tasks.
Weve also incorporated our patented* AutoLAWKS automatic knife safety
into all models, which converts the M16 Zytel series into virtual fixed blades
when their blades are open and locked.
All styles have Teflon bearings and a removable Teflon-plated stainless steel
clothing/gear clip.
Which M16 design is right for you? It depends on the task. Think of our
original aluminum-handled M16 as an Arabian stallionpurpose bred and
lightweight. Think of the M16-Zytel as a Clydesdaleready to rush a knight into
battle or pull a beer wagon. Every day. Day after day.
Tops in value: AutoLAWKS,

InterFrame
with new black-on-black
it Carsons M16 designs continue to be our most popular series, so it
was only a matter of time that we filled out the line with a Zytel
InterFrame build version of his Every Day Carry (EDC). Our knife
users told us, The size of the aluminum build EDC is perfect, but I
need a more affordable work knife that I can give hard use without feeling guilty,
and one that wont break me up if I leave it on a job site or drop it in the river.
We heard you. So we set about to make the Zytel EDCs the best value in the
work and sport knife world.
That starts with textured Zytel scales and a dual 420J2 stainless steel liner InterFrame. Assembled with Zytel back spacers and Torx fasteners, the result is
amazingly rigid. Zytel is a fiberglass-filled nylon that offers excellent toughness
and resistance to solvents. Teflon bearings at the blade pivot and an adjustable
pivot screw allow for perfect blade action.
Blades are AUS 4 high-carbon stainless steel which gives an ideal combination of toughness and edge-holding ability in a work knife, and also allows easy
field-sharpening. Standard models have a bead blast finish, while our new K
models have a black EDP finish
The M16-10Z features a dual hollow grind Tanto-style blade with Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edges similar to our Big Dog
M16s. The result is maximum blade strength and ability to saw through cord,
webbing, nets or vegetation quickly. The M16-10KZ is the same design with
black EDP blade, black frame and hardware.
The M16-01Z uses our popular spear point slim profile blade with a RazorSharp edge. It is ideal for fine cutting and carving tasks. The M16-01KZ is
again the same design with black EDP blade, black frame and hardware.
Of course, all models feature the Carson Flipper, which speeds opening of the
blade and acts as a blade guard when the blade is open.
The real breakthrough was our ability to engineer our patented* AutoLAWKS knife safety into all models, which automatically actuates when the
blades are open, making these folders into virtual fixed blades when locked.
Add to these features the standard removable Teflon-plated stainless steel
clothing/gear clip plus the CRKT limited lifetime warranty, and you have one of
the truly great knife values of our time.
As on larger M16 Zytel models, you get AutoLAWKS, dual
thumb studs, Carson Flipper
and removable clip.
Our rigid InterFrame build uses
dual stainless steel liners, Zytel
scales and hefty Zytel back
spacer.

POINT GUARD
Pat Crawfords most popular handmade tactical work tool
became an award-winning CRKT production series.
nifemakers Guild member Pat Crawford and his son Wes are acknowledged as leaders in the design and handcrafting of tactical working
folders. The Point Guard has been their most popular seller for years.
It incorporates what Pat feels are the best features of the many models
he has designed and built over many years.
There is only one problem. Pat and Wes couldnt make them fast enough to
meet demand, especially from the law enforcement community and the worlds
most elite fighting forces, such as the Navy SEALS, Army Special Forces, DEA,
FBI and Secret Service.
The CRKT Point Guard is true to Pats design in every detail, with the addition of our proven, rock-solid, overbuilt InterFrame construction with 420J2
double stainless steel liners, 6061 T6 hard anodized aluminum back spacer,
Torx fasteners, Teflon bearings, and Zytel scales. An integral part of the Point
Guard is the patented* Lake And Walker Knife Safety (LAWKS) to provide lock
security under extreme use.
The modern Point Guard design is slim and trim, with no excess. There is just
enough handle to hold the blade. Holes and slots are incorporated to minimize
handle weight and located so that frame strength is not reduced.
The rear of the handle is rounded to maintain the minimal profile, which
permits the knife to be held comfortably regardless of hand size. At top rear of
the handle are friction grooves that create greater control in both natural and
reverse grips.
The blade of 420J2 stainless steel is a drop point design for greater utility. The
high hollow grind makes resharpening easier. An ambidextrous thumb disk for
one-hand opening is used instead of a thumb stud to minimize the width of the
frame. Both Razor-Sharp and Combination Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated blades are available.
A removable, black Teflon-plated, custom-designed clothing/gear clip is
standard on the Point Guard.
This is a knife that all of us have wanted, but all of us could not own. Thanks
to the award-winning collaboration between Crawford Knives and CRKT, the
production Point Guard is within the reach of every knife user.

B.U.L.L.
Were redefining modern value in a folding knife with our B.U.L.L.
(Basic Utility Locking Liner) designed by Aaron Frederick.
n the beginning, just over a decade ago, CRKT made its name by offering a
series of quality locking liner folders at remarkably competitive prices. We
became known in the knife industry as the value company, a distinction
we are still proud to hold even though our line has expanded to include
sophisticated high-dollar knives. Our approach has always been: never cut
corners, just give a whole lot of knife for the money.
Ensign Aaron Frederick, who is now on active duty in the U.S. Navy, found
time to present his designs for a new folder, and we recognized it was the
perfect Basic Utility Locking Liner (B.U.L.L.) for CRKT. Its just the right size,
with no frills, the essence of a classic utility sport and work knife.
Aarons design has everything we like in a multipurpose knife: a strong
modified recurve drop point blade grind, an ergonomic handle with finger choil,
thumb ramp, butt swell and ample friction grooves.
Over the years weve refined our InterFrame open build. We believe it is the
most rigid and rugged available in a popular-priced work knife. We use two
420J2 stainless steel liners, one locking, and injection-molded Zytel scales, assembled with stainless steel back spacers and Torx fasteners. Grip is improved
by textured scale panels and castellations on the spine and at the butt.
The high-carbon steel blade in a high satin finish features a belly and recurve
for excellent slicing and carving ability, plus a top grind that aids penetration.
Models are available with Razor-Sharp or Combination Razor-Sharp and TriplePoint Serrated edges. At 3 long, the B.U.L.L.s blade is large and versatile
enough to tackle all those daily work tasks.
There are two ways to open the B.U.L.L.s blade with one hand, both ambidextrous: by the thumb disk, or by a flick of the serrated extended blade tang.
Closing is also an easy one-hand action, thanks to Teflon bearings at the blade
pivot.
Finally, the B.U.L.L. comes with a removable satin-finished stainless steel
pocket/gear clip, just like more expensive knives.
In other words, the B.U.L.L. has the features youd expect in a knife selling for
two or three times as much. Its built like a bull, strong as an ox, and its yours,
for well, chickenfeed.
You can open the B.U.L.L. with
a flick of the serrated extended
blade tang, or by the ambidextrous thumb disk.

EDGIE
First seedless grapes. Then the TV remote control. Now the self-sharpening knife,
thanks to Maj. Howard Pope and his patented* utility folder.
ince the dawn of human history, man has dreamed of a knife that would
sharpen itself during normal use. Here it is, the patented* brainchild of
inventor Maj. Howard Pope (USAR Ret.), who collaborated with custom
knifemaker and Knifemakers Guild member Steve Jernigan. Steve
created a practical and affordable prototype, which was the basis for our unique
folder.
We call it the Edgie because it hones its edge every time it is opened or
closed. This first CRKT Edgie model was designed to be a simple, affordable
utility knife with broad appeal.
The secret is a diamond-coated spring sharpener built into the folder frame.
(Why didnt I think of that?) It is placed at the precise angle to give the Edgies
Wharncliffe blade a sharpening stroke as it is closed, and again as it is opened.
Not only do you never need to sharpen the Edgie with stones or wheels, but you
should not, because it may alter the Edgies proper self-sharpening edge angle.
Of course, it is important during a long cutting work session to periodically open
and close the blade to maintain the edge.
The high-carbon stainless steel blade in satin finish features a strong fullwidth spine for most of its length, dual hollow grinds, and the single cutting
edge. Because the internal diamond sharpening strip works on this one edge
only, a tiny burr forms, which actually helps cutting action, acting as a microserration. This makes the Edgie tops for cutting cardboard boxes, rope, cord and
even ripe tomatoes.
For strength and long life, weve used our InterFrame build, with two stainless
steel liners and stainless steel back spring, all in satin finsh. The injection-molded Zytel scales have castellations at the spine and a checkered inset pattern to
enhance grip.
Finally, a removable stainless steel clip in satin finish makes this a most versatile work knife, ready to clip inside pockets, on belts or webbing, on tool belts, or
on sports gear.
Because the abrasive strip is designed to last as long as the blade itself, the
Edgie is covered by CRKTs limited lifetime warranty like all CRKT knives.
This diamond-coated spring
hones the cutting edge at a
precise angle every time the
Edgie is closed and opened.
The stainless steel pocket/gear
clip lets you carry the Edgie
securely in just about any work
or sport situation.

14K SUMMIT SERIES
Advanced designs for serious outdoorsmen.
Rugged. Strong. All metal. Engineered for peak performance.
ometimes your life depends on the tools you selecttools such as your
pitons, ice axe, crampons and knife. Because climbers regard reaching
the summits of the 14,000 ft. North American peaks as the pinnacle of
achievement, we named this popular line the 14K Summit series.
We began with our powerful InterFrame locking liner construction in an easily
cleaned open build, with nickel chrome plated zinc alloy scales featuring an
aircraft-style drilled skeleton design. Weight is reduced without compromising
the exceptional strength. The dual liners are 420J2 stainless steel. Handles are
designed with an extended guard, generous size and bead-blast finish to give
you extra gripping power. Friction grooves at the lock and on the blade spine
improve grip in wet and icy conditions.
The high-carbon, 420J2 stainless steel blades feature a rugged modified drop
point shape and bead-blast finish. Blade grinds are engineered to retain maximum thickness at the tip and through the length of the spine. This blade is built
for real work. Triple-Point Serrations are available on all sizes.
Integrated into the design is the patented* Lake And Walker Knife Safety
(LAWKS), which effectively converts your folder into a virtual fixed blade
very reassuring when you are using your knife for difficult and tiring tasks.
The Mt. Whitney and Denali feature hefty 3.50 blades. The Longs Peak
and Mt. Rainier offer 2.875 blades, while the Pikes Peak and Mt. Shasta are
more pocketable models with 2.375 blades.
Double-grooved ambidextrous thumb studs allow you to comfortably open or
close the blade with a single, smooth, one-handed motion, aided by the Teflon
bearings at the blade pivot which guarantee continued smoothness.
All fasteners are Torx , proven superior in initial assembly and owner maintenance, such as tightening the pivot screw for proper blade tension after years of
heavy, sustained work loads.
The convenient stainless steel clothing/gear clip is Teflon plated and easily
removable, attached with three Torx fasteners.
In designing this series, we set out to reach the summit of tough, strong
folding knives. Its all about excellence and achievement. If youre comparing
all-alloy, multipurpose knives, weve set the standard. We trust youll agree.
Thick blades and InterFrame
construction with open build
and zinc alloy scales make an
exceptionally strong knife.
14K Summit features
include LAWKS, dual thumb
studs, all Torx fasteners and
easily removable clip.

DOGFISH & MercHARNESS
Sometimes simple is better. Heres a cute little neck knife
and the most innovative fixed blade carry harness weve ever seen.
om Krein is a young custom knifemaker who has created quite a stir with
his Mid Tech Dogfish neck knife. It seemed like the perfect affordable
CRKT production knife, so here it is. Tom has a great sense of style, so
unlike many skeletonized flat blades, the Dogfish is graceful, gives a
secure grip, and also has that dogfish face at the pommel which turns out to
bea lanyard hole and bottle opener! It has a secure finger choil and friction
grooves at the thumb spine and near the butt.
We E.D.M. wire cut it from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel, bevel
grind the 2.25 modified Wharncliffe blade, give it a fine bead-blast finish and
add a Razor-Sharp or Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edge.
You also get a custom-fitted six-eyelet Kydex sheath that grips the knife securely for inverted carry with the neck chain included, or with the MercHarness
described below. Its a useful, friendly minimal knife thats a great value.
eorge Matheis, known professionally as Mercop, is one of those big,
burly cops who commands your respect instantly. As a certified
weapons instructor at the state and federal level, he is a fan of inverted
fixed-blade carry in Kydex or Zytel detented sheaths for emergency
self-defense. But most harnesses are complex, bulky and uncomfortable. Neck
chains require a tie-down to position the knife. So George developed his
MercHarness, a revolutionary new way to carry fixed blades of any size.
The harness is a length of mil-spec paracord, gutted so it is flat. Soft rubber
keepers allow adjustment of the harness even when wearing it. Users just tie the
cord through the eyelets of their fixed blade sheath and slip the MercHarness
over their shoulders.
Georges key words are comfort and concealability. Comfort means you
can carry even larger fixed blades such as the CRKT Hissatsu. The MercHarness can be worn under uniforms, tactical vests or casually under a T-shirt. Its
durable, inexpensive, lightweight and moves with the body.
The MercHarness does not need tie-downs. You can position the knife under
the arm or slightly forward and it stays oriented. Drawing from the MercHarness is lightning quick with either a cross draw to the forward grip, or a sameside draw to a reverse grip. So sometimes, simple really is better.

A.G. RUSSELL STING & RINGER SERIES
Cool little hunting and personal defense knives designed by A.G. Russell,
with a real sense of why you often need a small knife in the outdoors.
ay A.G. Russell, and you have to immediately say first, because this
living legend was one of the inventors of the modern knife industry. But
despite all his awards and achievements, A.G. is first of all a knifemaker.
The CRKT production Sting, complete with a custom Cordura /Zytel
sheath, is a multipurpose one-piece utility knife that is just about indestructible.
Hot forging is the reason the Sting is so tough. It begins life as an ordinary
blank of 1050 carbon steel, similar to the alloy used in traditional Samurai
swords, which is first hot forged and then precision ground into final shape.
We apply a black non-reflective powder coat finish to resist corrosion.
The spear point blade features two Razor-Sharp cutting edges. The integral
handle is contoured to fit the bare or gloved hand nicely and provides heft and
balance, with thumb detents for grip. A large lanyard hole is provided, allowing
the use of a wrist lanyard, or carry as a neck knife.
Our Cordura multi-carry sheath with a Zytel liner allows the Sting to be
carried in a variety of positions on trousers, belts or gear.
Like A.G. Russell himself, the Sting is a tough character that has earned its
respect.
A.G.s new Ringer series is about as minimal as knives can get. What
makes these two-finger knives so unique is the small tang that A.G. has designed to give better grip and stability. Each comes with a custom-fitted Kydex
sheath and chain which allows carry as a neck knife or in the pocket. All are flat
and weigh less than an ounce.
The Ringer 1 features a 1.875 skinning blade with a traditional gut hook,
which can also be an emergency seat belt cutter. The sportsman can use this
little fellow for dressing and skinning fish, birds and small game.
The Ringer 2 is a great gardening and emergency knife with a 1.75 hawksbill blade. It makes quick work of garden stalks and stems and is also a fast way
to cut through entangled lines or nets.
The Ringer 3 is a versatile knife with a 1.75 clip point blade. It is useful for
just about any occasional cutting, carving, or skinning task.
No, theres not much to these skeletonized designs, almost all cut away to
save weight. About all thats left is the cutting power and utility.
The Sting thumb detents lock
the knife into the sheath and
allow a secure grip, even with
gloves on.
This little tang makes the
Ringer series unique, giving
extra grip and control to a very
lightweight knife.

FIXED BLADE HUNTERS
Two series designed by hunting guide and knifemaker Russ Kommer.
Quality knives for serious hunters, that youll cherish and leave to your children.
fter Russ Kommer makes a new knife, he takes it on the next hunting
trip he guides and uses it on the skinning of Alaskan moose, caribou and
bear. Our fixed blade hunters survived his field test. Thats good enough
for us. Weve named them after Russs favorite hunting ranges.
Our Pro Hunters are premium classic hunters with stacked leather handles
and full-tang premium 440A stainless steel blades. We add a stainless steel
bolster, oversize rings of leather and a stainless butt cap, swedged in place by a
stainless steel tube rivet. Finally, the entire handle is hand-finished to achieve the
perfect contour. The high hollow ground blades, bolster and butt cap are given a
high satin finish, which makes cleaning easier and fights corrosion. Their fullfitted sheaths of 9 oz. shoulder leather feature a classic basketweave pattern.
The Chugach Range is the perfect Alaska utility knife, with a simple tear
drop handle and modified drop point. Useful for both skinning and caping
chores. If we can only take one knife, this is our choice.
The Wrangell Range is a classic drop point hunting blade with a choiled
power grip handle that gives you security, no matter how you choke up on the
knife. It is ideal in wet and icy conditions.
The Signature Hunters are simple classic fixed blades, with a full-tang blade
of 1.4116 stainless steel, high hollow ground and mirror polished to minimize
staining and corrosion and to give less resistance while skinning. Each blade has
friction grooves on the spine and its deep finger choil. The dark-stained bamboo
scales are riveted in place with stainless steel rivets. Each knife has a slot at the
butt with a hand-tied leather fob.
The Kilbuck is a classic drop point hunter with friction grooves near the tip
for maximum control. This is a favorite of ours as a skinner and camp generalpurpose knife.
The Kuskokwin is a full-bellied skinner with a gut hook. When you have big
animals to dress out, this is the knife to take along.
Each Signature Hunter comes with a fitted leather sheath. Like the finest
custom sheaths, they are made from a single piece of 7- to 8-ounce leather. They
are tooled and perimeter stitched with burnished edges.
Theyre all Alaskan classics. And in case you cant get to Alaska on your next
hunting trip, Russ says they work just as well in Montana and Tanzania.

THE KOMMER COLLECTION
Here are more high-value tools for the serious outdoorsman,
inspired by knifemaker and hunting and fishing guide Russ Kommer.
uss Kommer keeps coming up with ideas for high-value knives and
tools that every hunter needs. We call this growing group of products
The Kommer Collection. It includes a high-hollow ground skinner, a
utility hunting knife and a unique chisel/sharpener.
His Bez Tine Hunter is a classic fixed-blade skinner, with a blade of
1.4116 high-carbon stainless steel. The blade receives a high hollow grind for
top skinning performance, and then is mirror polished for maximum corrosion
resistance. At the handle, the full-tang blade is mated to a stainless steel bolster
and walnut handles, held with stainless steel pins and meticulously hand-contoured. The handle features four deep finger choils for grip under the slipperiest
conditions. A thick custom leather sheath is included.
Our Brow Tine Hunter is a traditional drop point hunter with stag handles. The blade is high-carbon 9Cr18 stainless steel with a mirror finish. There
is a pinned stainless steel bolster and the hand-finished stag handles are held by
mosaic pins. A tooled leather sheath completes the package, which is perfect for
every outdoorsman who appreciates old-style design and quality.
Russ designed our PTS (Pelvic Tool/Sharpener) because splitting the
pelvic bone when dressing larger animals such as White Tail Deer and Alaskan
Moose is difficult with a conventional blade, and may cause damage to the knife
as well.
The PTS is a high-carbon steel wedge with a chisel edge which will neatly split
the cartilage at the pelvic bone seam aided by the tap of a nearby rock. There is
no need to pack a hatchet.
In addition, we have coated the PTS with a No. 400 diamond grit, creating a
useful field sharpener. Use the flat side to touch up hunting knives. The back
side has two grooves designed to sharpen fishhooks and arrow broadheads.
The tapered, rounded edges are just right to sharpen serrated knife edges,
including conventional serrations and our exclusive Veff Serrations.
And in typical CRKT style, we have included a braided leather thong for grip
and a handy carry pouch with the PTS.
Whether climbing up a ridge, sitting in a duck blind, or casting down a riffle,
Russ is always thinking. And he thought you might like these tools.
No. 400 diamond grit on the
PTS allows the sportsman
to touch up hunting knives
quickly in the field.
You can use the rounded
tapered edges of the PTS to
sharpen a variety of serrations,
including exclusive CRKT Veff
Serrations.

SIDE HAWG
Seen it all? How about this family of single-side outdoor knives
with clip-on sheath plates and carabiner lanyards?
ike Franklin is an award-winning custom knifemaker and
Knifemakers Guild member whose company, HAWG! Knives, is
located in Aberdeen, Ohio. His slogan, Knives With An Attitude,
certainly demonstrates his personal approach. His first CRKT design
was the popular and most unusual Serengeti Hunter three-knife system. His
CRKT Side Hawg family is equally surprising, a group of minimal and
functional single-side knives made of high-carbon stainless steel with Zytel
sheath plates and carabiner lanyards.
The original Side Hawg 1 is skeletonized with CNC-chamfered edges. The
deeply curved modified drop point blade has a 1.625 Razor-Sharp cutting edge.
It is a versatile shape, designed for a broad range of outdoor tasks from carving,
cutting line or rope, slicing and trimming, to skinning game. A deep finger choil
locates the knife in the users hand and gives a secure grip. Friction grooves on
the spine locate the thumb securely.
The Side Hawg 2 is a bit longer at 5.50, with a 2.375 drop point blade and
a single-side textured Zytel scale. Its more of a daily work knife with a longer
handle for better grip and a more versatile blade.
The Side Hawg 3 has a modified 2.00 Tanto blade, a single-side grind in the
traditional Japanese mode. Again, a textured single-side Zytel scale gives added
grip. The result is a very slender personal carry.
All three Sheath Plates are constructed of lightweight black Zytel with stainless steel posts and saddle clips. Each Side Hawg is securely held by placing its
locator hole over the post, and then rotating the knife down into the saddle clip.
The precision fit of the knifes flat-ground side, plus a molded security ridge, effectively seal the cutting edge to the frame. Drawing the knife is a fast one-hand
action.
The knife/sheath plate is small enough to be carried in a pants pocket, coat
pocket, vest pocket or PFD pocket. A carabiner and swivelling nylon strap allow
you to attach the Side Hawgs to D-rings, belts, or belt loops, so you wont lose
them whether you are running through the brush or running a river.
Each of us has our favorite, but they are so affordable, you can be a hawg and
buy all three.
34
To release the knife, press up
and rotate the Side Hawg on
the post. It then easily lifts off,
ready for use.
This ridge molded on the
sheath plate provides an extra
level of security, sealing the
Side Hawg edges fully.

Jim Hammonds comfortable, useful and affordable
work lockback is now available in Realtreecamo dress.
im Hammonds Cruiser series of customs seemed like an ideal starting
point in our development of a high-quality affordable lockback work folder.
As the first custom knifemaker and Knifemakers Guild member to work
with CRKT, he understood the translation necessary to arrive at our
production Cascade Lockback.
The blade is a Hammond modified clip point shape, hollow ground from
420J2 stainless steel with a bead-blast finish, and available with a Combination
Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated edge.
For maximum comfort, we used our Twin-Fused handle technology using
a rigid, injection-molded high-impact polycarbonate frame with a soft, comfortable diamond-patterned injection-molded Kraton grip for a firm, safe hold. This
build, combined with the rounded handle cross section, deep finger choil with
guard, pronounced butt pommel and blade thumb ramp with friction grooves,
results in one of the most secure and comfortable grips in any folder, at any
price.
This is a truly ambidextrous knife. Dual thumb studs allow fast either-hand
opening. We designed the lockback mechanism with a mid-lock on the spine,
at a point difficult to accidentally release. To make closing safer, and to allow
one-handed closing, we added a hitch at the 90 point. When the lock bar
is released with the blade up, the blade swings down 90 and stops, reducing
accidental cuts. You can then shift the Cascade to your palm and press the blade
closed.
A custom, removable stainless steel pocket/gear clip allows secure carry in
pocket, on webbing, and on tool aprons. And for those who prefer a traditional
belt carry, a molded closed cell foam Cordura fabric bidirectional carry scabbard is included.
For hunters and outdoorsmen, we also offer the Cascade with a film-dipped
Realtree camo handle and a Realtree camo carry scabbard.
We think the Cascade is ideal for anyone who has daily, lengthy carving or
cutting tasks. In our testing, we cannot find the annoying little pressure points
that often cause blisters with repetitive use. So if your present work or outdoor
knife is less than a perfect fit, you can really afford to give the Cascade a test grip
at your favorite CRKT retailer.
On vertical release, a hitch
stops the blade at 90, reducing accidental cuts, and allowing easy one-hand closing.
The Twin-Fused Kraton over
polycarbonate frame gives the
most comfortable grip ever in
a work knife.

BEAR CLAW
Designed in Alaska for those times you wish your knife was part of your hand,
and prized by bush pilots, commercial fishermen, and independent women.
uss Kommer is a bright young custom knifemaker who was based in
Anchorage, Alaska, for many years. Conditions there are rugged, either
from the climate or the work folks are doing. He thought a knife that
was easy to grip and hard to lose would be a big hit, and since he made
the first Bear Claw, he hasnt been able to meet the demand. His original
concept was a self-defense knife for women that would be lightweight, easy to
access and control. But it seems that every parachutist, bush pilot and commercial fisherman who sees one, wants one.
As a result, Russ and CRKT teamed up to make the production Bear Claw, a
cutting machine that, thanks to the generous size finger hole, acts just like an
extension of your hand. It is the perfect emergency cutting tool for anyone who
needs to quickly cut rope, webbing or netting, especially if their life is going to
depend on it.
The Bear Claw is available in three blade styles: Razor-Sharp and full TriplePoint Serrated with pointed tip, plus Triple-Point Serrated with tear drop tip
for fast cutting without danger of point penetrationideal for law enforcement
and emergency rescue personnel. Blades are full-tang, taper-ground AUS 4
stainless steel with a fine bead-blast finish. Friction grooves are placed on the
blade spine, choil and near the tip for maximum blade control and safety. The
contoured Zytel handle fills the hand neatly. The Bear Claw weighs in at a
lightweight but stout 3.2 oz.
We developed one of our CRKT trademark high-tech sheaths for the Bear
Claw thats only 1.1 oz. of tough, durable, injection-molded Zytel. It allows efficient quick release of the knifejust thumb push against the sheath to release
smoothly and quietlyor give a sharp pull.
It features molded-in threaded fittings for attachment of the new wider black
stainless steel Teflon-plated pocket clip at either end, using the Torx tool and
screws provided. The sheath also has a total of seven lanyard holes and belting
slots to permit a variety of carry positions, and a lanyard is provided.

HAMMOND A.B.C.
Jim Hammond has All Bases Covered with this knife/sheath system,
available as the ultimate dive and whitewater knife or as a rugged tactical knife.
im Hammond is an active outdoorsman as well as a custom knifemaker
and Knifemakers Guild member. When his diving and whitewater friends
pointed out the need for a better multipurpose fixed blade, he developed
his custom A.B.C. (All Bases Covered) knife/sheath system. The two
CRKT production versions are faithful to Jims designs and priced to put them
within reach of everyone who depends on a knife for work, survival and rescue.
The blunt-tipped A.B.C. Aqua is designed to fill all the needs of the scuba
diver and whitewater enthusiast in a single knife. The bottom hollow ground
Razor-Sharp edge is suited to fine cutting tasks. The top Combined Razor-Sharp
and Triple-Point Serrated edge is ideal for rapid rough cutting through cord,
nets, fishing line, kelp, and for safe release of whitewater entanglements. The
blunt point wont pierce air compartments if accidentally dropped. It is also
an indispensable work tool for swift water rescue teams, paramedics, and law
enforcement.
The pointed-tip A.B.C. Operators Model has a drop point dual grind Tanto
Razor-Sharp blade, with a false top edge and Triple-Point Serrations. It is an
ideal general-purpose fixed blade for hikers, climbers, pilots, parachutists, and
military personnel.
Both blades are full-tang skeletonized designs of premium AUS 8 stainless
steel. For maximum corrosion resistance, the steel is first mirror polished to
close the pores, and then black titanium nitride coated. The finger choils are
heavily friction grooved for sure grip.
The black injection-molded Zytel scales have an aggressive texture, and they
are held in place with corrosion-resistant stainless steel Torx fasteners. The
A.B.C. Aqua comes with an additional set of high-visibility yellow scales, plus a
Torx tool allowing you to quickly switch scales.
The Zytel sheath with dual attachment panels and black stainless spring
steel clip allows eight carry modes and countless variations. Black finish brass
Chicago screws allow adjustment of the knife compression fit into the sheath.
Equally important, they are used for a multitude of attachment orientations: on
diving buoyancy compensators and pocket flaps, webbing, with dive leg straps,
on PFDs, or with a neck cord.
Strong. Simple. Versatile. Extremely corrosion resistant. All bases covered.
Sheath includes a Belt Panel
and fasteners allowing the
most secure attachment to
belts and webbing.
Choose from blunt Aqua blade
for dive and whitewater use, or
the Operators drop point Tanto
blade for tactical use.

BIG EDDY ALASKA FILLETS
Now featuring Russ Kommers unique hollow/taper ground blade
that floats fillets up and off.
uss Kommer, gifted knifemaker and hunting and fishing guide, came
up with the breakthrough blade grind that puts our Big Eddy at the
head of the class. Traditionally, fillet knives have had a symmetrical
grind. After many hours of filleting 40-pound Alaska Salmon with the
great skill and care required, the answer for a vastly improved fillet knife came
to Russput a hollow grind on the top side of the blade and a flat grind on the
bottom.
After making and rigorously testing a custom version and proving how well
the concept worked, Russ granted CRKT the exclusive rights for the production
models.
The Razor-Sharp 420J2 stainless steel blade features Russs high hollow grind
on the top of the blade, which creates an air pocket to lift and float fillets off,
while the flat taper ground side glides smoothly across the skin. Triple-Point
Serrations help you cut through gristle, bones and fins.
The unique Twin-Fused handle is a rigid, high-impact polypropylene core
wrapped with a soft, comfortable checkered Kraton grip for a firm, safe hold.
Its streamlined sheath is injection-molded for long wear and stylish utility.
The polypropylene lanyard adds extra convenience. Kommers Big Eddy
adds special ease and speed of filleting to the quality of the worlds finest filleting
knivesall at a remarkable price.
The hollow grind on the top
side of the blade floats fillets
off; the flat grind side wont dig
into fish skin .
Each Big Eddy fillet knife
comes with a polypropylene
lanyard and injection-molded
Zytel sheath with belt loop.

LOCKBACKS
MoSkeeter and Wrangler are strong,
lightweight, high-value lockbacks.
he Wrangler was our first affordable little lockback, and the
larger MoSkeeter came next. Both of these are lightweight,
tough little knives with fiberglass-reinforced nylon frames
and high-carbon stainless steel blades. The Wrangler has a
taper-ground, drop-point Razor-Sharp blade. The MoSkeeters
modified drop-point blade has a satin finish and is available with both
Razor-Sharp and Combined Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated
edges. Heavily checkered handles give a comfortable and steady
grip that makes your work easier. The comments we get indicate
that weve done the job right: Really precision built. Featherweight and well balanced. And perhaps most revealing: This is a lot
of knife for the priceand not a toy, but a quality work tool.

SLIDE SHARP
Heres a simple, economical knife sharpening system* that holds
your blade at the correct angle to achieve a sharp edge quickly, every time.
fter many years in the knife industry, Steve McCowen of Iola, Wisconsin, had seen literally hundreds of knife sharpening systems, ranging
from stones to expensive electric hones. The simpler devices required a
good deal of skill, the more advanced systems came with mounting
hardware and pages of instructions, and the electric sharpeners could grind the
edge of a favorite knife to nothing in a few seconds.
Steve came up the idea for the Slide Sharp and contacted Charles Kain, a
custom knifemaker in Indianapolis, Indiana. Together they developed the breakthrough, patent-pending product you see here.
The Slide Sharp uses a unique system of injection-molded nylon guides to
hold the knife edge at the specific angle required for optimum sharpening. A
hardwood base holds a porcelain sharpening rod. Simply insert the rod in the
base, slide a return spring over it, select the sharpening guide needed for your
knife, and slide on the cap.
Sharpening action couldnt be easier. Just pull your blade through a sharpening guide slot, pressing down lightly. The return spring pops the guide up again
for the next stroke. You then repeat the same action as needed in the opposite
slot, sharpening both sides of the blade equally, or as needed.
Two sharpening guides are included. One is a slight angle for putting an edge
on sport, work, tactical and kitchen knives. The second has a steeper angle for
heavier tools such as choppers and machetes.
The Slide Sharp system comes with two porcelain sharpening rods. You start
with the coarser gray rod, and finish the edge with the fine white rod.
Thats the Slide Sharp story. Its simple to use, quick and convenient. It is as
easy to use as a butchers steel, with the accuracy of the more expensive and
time-consuming clamped sharpeners.
The sharpening guides maintain the edge angle and do the work for you.
Theres no guessing, no rounded edges, and no loss of blade shape from oversharpening.
If you can sharpen a pencil, you can sharpen a knife. And Slide Sharp is inexpensive and portable, which means you can have one for the kitchen, one for the
tool bench, one for your tackle box, even one for your favorite firearms case.
Slide Sharp. A new angle on knife sharpening.
