Description
Applications
Pivaloyl chloride is a slightly colored
liquid. It is miscible with all common
aprotic organic solvents. Water causes
hydrolysis.
Intermediate used in the production of:
organic peroxides
pharmaceuticals
Safety
pesticides
Pivaloyl chloride is corrosive to the
skin and eyes. Inhalation of vapors or
mists may irritate the respiratory tract.

Storage & Handling
