Electro-Mechanical Drawing Portfolio (August 2015) : Villalba M. Aylin, Student, ITSSNP

This document summarizes the importance of technical drawing throughout history and for engineers. It discusses how technical drawing has evolved from early drawings on cave walls to become a precise graphical language. It also describes standards for technical drawings, different types of drawing sheets, and provides an overview of an electro-mechanical drawing portfolio, highlighting the key role of technical drawing.

grabbed drawing of a fundamental part

for the evolution of mankind, since without the most

would not exist so you will about the influence that has the
drawing in the life of an engineer and humans, comparison of
drawing sheets Since drawing tries to communicate ideas and
feelings, based on the suggestion and stimulating the
imagination of the Viewer, technical drawing is intended, the
representation of the objects it more accurately as possible, in
shape and dimensions. National standards international and
institutional, and finally a summary of electro-mechanical

ISTORICALLY

II. RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ENGINEER AND THE

DRAWING.
Man is the only living being that is able to draw and from
prehistoric times uses this capability as a form of
communication, drawing figures in the rocks that made up the
walls of their caves and other materials used in their daily
lives.
Throughout history, this desire to communicate using
drawings, has evolved, resulting on the one hand artistic
drawing and technical drawing. While the first tries to
communicate ideas and feelings, based on the suggestion and
stimulating the imagination of the Viewer, technical drawing,
aims, the representation of the objects as accurately as
possible, in shape and dimensions. Today, there has been a
convergence between the objectives of artistic and technical
drawing. This is a result of the use of computers in technical
drawing, with them you get 3D virtual recreations, which
although they represent objects in true extent and form, also
carry a heavy burden of suggestion for the Viewer.
Technical drawing is the graphic representation of an object
or a practical idea. This representation is guided by fixed and
pre-established standards to be able to describe accurately and
clearly, dimensions, forms, characteristics and the construction
of what we want to play.

Precision instruments is required to perform the technical

drawing. When we do not use these instruments is called

language used in industrial activities, to carry out the

communication of ideas that have technological content.
Defined as graphic language, since the communication that
is transmitted, is carried out through representations, diagrams
and symbols that are placed or printed on a surface of paper
drawing or fabrics.
Mainly technical drawing has two main objectives; first,
communicate the information at a given time and secondly,
register information to be used to the extent necessary.
It is a very important feature of technical drawing, which
the deposited information can be read and interpreted by
anyone linked to the industrial and productive activities and
even being those of different nationalities. Technical drawing
is a universal language.
So the technical drawing is more important in the life of an
engineer, since without drawing the engineer would not have
the way to communicate your idea or work. It is one of the
main languages you need to know with accuracy, already
being expressed to pulse or electronic. A long history grabbed
drawing a fundamental tool for the development of knowledge
of an engineer.
III. TYPES OF DRAWING SHEET
Drawing technical, as employed by architects, engineers
and draftsmen also requires a type's specialized role of quality,
that allows to use on the various instruments, squares, bevels,
etc., and, in addition, allow proper adhesion of inks of the
rotring or other techniques used for his works and designs.
Paper for technical drawing is usually a thin layer
consisting of cellulose fibers reduced to pulp by chemical and
mechanical procedures and obtained from wood, rags, etc.
Esparto grass (grass flowers) for technical drawing are often
distinguish between two types of role specific.
Opaque paper for drawing: its color ranges from white to
beige and is slightly glossy.
Vegetable or translucent paper: this kind of paper is
remarkably clear and bluish-white tone. This type of paper
allows the passage of light through it, making it easy to see
clearly any picture that is under the same ideal for tracing.
Also suitable for working with ink, which can be deleted, if it
is necessary, fairly easily without deteriorating the paper, even
scraping blade.
Sketch paper, is a variety of the vegetable, also translucent,
with less body and more economical, as its name indicates, is
used for sketches, sketches, etc...
IV. STANDARDS FOR TECHNICAL DRAWING
Standards.- UNE 1026-83, ISO 5457, DIN 823, ANSI

VILLALBA MONROY AYLIN

Y14.1
They aims to unify criteria in order to facilitate the
graphical plots and simplify the reading and interpretation of
drawings by persons other than those that made the original
drawing.
In order to achieve universality in the application of the
rules, official bodies of various countries maintain contact to
achieve a unique standards applicable to all countries in the
future.
International standards.- The INN is a member of:
ISO International Organization for Standarization.
COPANT Pan-American Commission of technical standards.
PASC Pacific Area Standards Congress.
ILAC International Laboratory Accreditation Conference.
V. OVERVIEW OF THE UNIT
In this unit we have seen and learned the important thing is
the technical drawing in the life of engineer, that the drawing
to this State since the beginning of the desire to capture or
communicate, our backgrounds were first used by the
technical drawing, evolved with fashion is advancing
technology, thanks to the there are sculptures we admire now
the graphic representation of an object or an idea practices,
these representations are guided by rules fixed and preestablished to be able to describe accurately and clearly,
dimensions, forms, characteristics, and the construction of
what we want to play, or outline. When not using the
instrument referred to as freehand drawing or sketch. The
drawing is the language chart used in industrial activities, for
the communication of ideas that have technological content.
the leaves are very fundamental because you do have to know
its utility, the sheet for technical drawing is a sheet thin, that is
formed by a reduced to pulp Cellulose fiber by procedures

encloses the drawing and its designation. At the same time of
the standard UNE 1026-83, 5455 ISO, DIN 823 scale.
Everything must be drawn on a scale and dimensions that do
not carry scale should be stressed. To conclude the lettering is
