Penetration sealings for the airport Hamburg 2005-2006
350 Mio. EUR will be invested in the airport Hamburg to make
the grade of the future. By the year 2008 a new terminal,
several new parking sites, a shopping plaza, a connection to
the interurban train and as an additional attraction a hotel will
be erected on the airport area. The whole passenger check-in
should be concentrated on only two terminals. The airport
Hamburg is becoming one of the most modern and customerfriendly airports in Europe.
Within the new terminal amongst others 45.000 m concrete
and about 5.800 t steel were used and a gross floor area of
curtly 60.000 m was generated.
For such a big building surface and the high volume of passengers and employees the passive fire
protection is indispensable.
The company svt System-Service Hamburg GmbH has obtained the order for fire protection works
within the new terminal. Soft penetration sealings, mortar penetration sealings and fire protection
joint sealings were installed by dint of the approved PYRO-SAFE systems.
Due to the fast and competent processing of orders diverse follow-up orders were placed to svt by the
Flughafen Hamburg GmbH.
