Work and decisions
Today I completed tasks 1-4. These were
mainly admin setting up a file, Appendix,
and production file. I also completed the
initial magazine research which meant
finding two different magazines and
discussing the type, publisher, pricing and
target audience.
Today I completed tasks 4-7. I found 6
magazine titles and 2 magazines for each
title in the chosen genre. I also looked at
and produced a document showing the
different glossary items on a magazine
cover.
Today I completed task 8. I found 3 sport
magazine covers and identified and
analysed the style, images, appeal and
price for each magazine.
I also started task 9 which is similar to task
8 although in much more detail.
Today I completed task 9 which is to
analyse in detail 3 contents pages and
cover pages of sports magazines.
Today I also started task 10 which is looking
into colour palates of magazines and
talking about what they suggest.
Today I completed task 10 which was
looking into colour pallets and analysing
what they suggest. I completed task 11
which was looking into font types.
I also completed task 12 looking into target
audience.
Today I stayed on and completed task 12,
looking into target audience/ identifying
target audience. Task 13 producing two
target audience profiles, task 14 producing
a questionnaire choosing questions which
will get the responses I need. Also
completing task 15 where produced a
profile for my magazine discussing all to do
with target audience.
Today I completed task 16 which was to
analyse magazine covers there lay out and
hotspots.
I also completed task 17 which was on
magazine styling
Today I made the decision of what to call
my magazine (task 18). I also decided on a
cover star and produced a profile for them

page spread, this is something I am going
to research and complete during the
Christmas holidays.
Over the Christmas holidays I finished the
article. I had to decide on what information
to put in and what language needed to be
used.
Today I completed task 27 which is to
produce a first draft of my double page

spread. I also started my final draft, which
is task 29.
