INTRODUCTION
As a teacher and as an individual, we live in a society. School and a
real classroom setting is the society lived by educators. Practice teaching is
the realization of all the things we learned in our four-year journey in this
institution and also the application of the ideals we grasped during our Field
Study.
In-Campus Practice Teaching is more than just the requirement in
earning our degree. It is the preparation given to us to be a competent and
proficient teacher. It showed the real scenario of a real classroom and
challenged us on how we will apply classroom management, discipline at the
same time transferring knowledge, values and skills. It is an actual learning
experience given where we assumed the role, duties and responsibilities of a
teacher in a real classroom.

Philosophy in Teaching
Henry Adams once said, A teacher affects eternity, no one
knows where his influence stops As a teacher our responsibility is not
only limited to transferring knowledge and skills but also extends to
values. How we interact and deal with our pupils affects them. As a
teacher, we have the power to make a difference in the lives of our
students. Teachers either make or break a student. We also believe in
the progressivist view of teaching. We are now in the 21 st century and
through this we teach learners to develop them into becoming
enlightened and intelligent citizens of a democratic society. Through
progressivism, we teach pupils how to live fully now.
Vision for Learners
We believe that every child is an embodied spirit and has
potential. Every child is capable of learning and they do not have an
empty mind; it is full of ideas and it our task to draw these ideas. As a
teacher we must reach out to all kinds of students. It is our
responsibility to provide them with multiple intelligences activities and
success so that they will grow actively and feel good and confident
about themselves so that they will be like a turtle coming out from its
own shell.
Vision for Professional Learning Advancement
Teacher education does not stop on graduation. It feeds on
continuing professional education. Attending seminars, and getting
units for Masters and Doctors Degree are our plans for our
professional
advancement.
In
five
years,
we
must
have
our
professional license as a teacher. During that time we are all now a
regular teacher in the Department of Education and have units and or
have graduated our Masters Degree. After that we must have pursued
or Doctors Degree. Some of us will major in academic subjects and
some will major in administration. We are also continuously attending
seminars and trainings about the current trends in the field of
education. We also have TESDA certificates in various tracks like
baking and pastry, plumbing, computer etc.
