JULY 7 (4-6 on this date)

2007: The Brewers hit four solo home runs but Austin Kearns two-run double in the fifth inning
broke a 2-2 tie and the Nationals held off Milwaukee, 5-4. For the second time in club history,
the Nationals were out-homered by at least four, but won the game (also Sept. 11, 2006 at
ARI). In the ninth inning, Chad Cordero retired J.J. Hardy and Ryan Braun with the potential
tying run in scoring position to close out the one-run victory.
2010: Adam Dunn registered his 26th career multi-homer game, but first three-homer effort
in a 7-6 win vs. San Diego. Via the three-homer game, Dunn reached the 20-homer plateau
before the All-Star break for a Major League record eighth straight campaign.
