Humans
Citizens of the Kingdoms of Stormwind, remnants of the other Kingdoms, the
humans inhabiting the world of Azeroth are a hardy bunch. Beset on all sides by
danger, they survived through diplomacy, cultivating good relations with their
friends, also adding versatility, allowing them to master a great number of
professions or skills successfully. The center of human power has shifted to the
South, to the Kingdom of Stormwind, the rebuilt nation looking forward to a
prosperous future. With its King missing, the humans of Stormwind look to the
charismatic Lady Katrana Prestor and Lord Bolvar Fordragon, Lord Regent of
Stormwind, guiding the young Prince, Anduin Wrynn.
On the other side stands the Church of the Holy Light, led by Archbishop
Benedictus, guiding humanity and all those who follow the Light in spiritual
matters, being the other pillar of the Kingdom.
While open and friendly towards members of the Alliance, Humans are wary of
the Horde and the whole world seems to be a bubbling cauldron. While many
hope for peace, War looms just beyond.
Other humans reside on the Western Continent of Kalimdor, led by Lady Jaina
Proudmoore within the city of Theramore, while others populate the remaining
Kingdoms in the East. The remnants of Stromgarde, the Syndicate in Alterac, the
Island Nation of Kul Tiras, the southern reaches of Lordaeron consisting of the
Hillsbrad foothills are still haven for humanity. Albeit isolated, Gilneas is still
alive, with its northern border closed by the Greymane wall. Last but not least
within the ravaged Plaguelands the Scarlet Crusade and Order of the Argent
Dawn attempt to subvert the Scourge with only limited success.
Despite all this, humanity endures.
Archetypes: Physical, Magical, Blessed / Cursed
Starting Willpower: 3
Character creation: Any attributes can be primary depending on who your
character is. It is the same for abilities, backgrounds and advantages. Humans
are a diverse bunch. Humans just like other races may acquire the Blessed
Archetype, allowing them to become Holy Warriors like Paladins.

Orcs

A hardy race, hailing from the torn world of Draenor, Orcs came many years ago
through the Dark Portal with intent of invading Azeroth. Despite the bloody first
and second wars, the Horde was defeated and prior to the third war liberated by
an Orc Shaman named Thrall. As the third war ended, the orcs look toward the
future, building their own nation of Durotar in the harsh badlands of centraleastern Kalimdor.
With little land suited for agriculture, the orcs have to find ways to plant crops,
expand and survive their new harsh homeland. With a strong alliance with the
Darkspear Trolls and Tauren the Orcs seek to rebuild the Horde, living in relative
peace, however to acquire the resources they need to survive lands controlled by
others have been taken into consideration.
With a resurgence of Shamanism and the downfall of Arcane Magic, orcs are
slowly returning to their roots of strength, honor, respect of ancestors and
elements, while looking down upon those who practice the arcane.
Warlocks and their acolytes now dwell in the hidden places, however due to
mercy and understanding their vital knowledge, Thrall, the Chieftain of the Horde
has allowed them to continue their ways.

Archetypes: Physical, Magical, Cursed

Starting willpower: 3
Character creation: Orcs are a hardy bunch, many times physical attributes
being primary and mental or social secondary. They believe in Strength, Honor.
Virtue such as Self-Control and Courage are important as orc culture puts
emphasis on harnessing ones rage and showing bravery.

Archetypes

Physical:
Relying on the strength of your arms, or even your mind, you are an expert in
your chosen field, be it warrior, scholar, researcher or other more shady aspects
of life. While not possessing magical ability, your aptitudes make you a valued
member of your social circles and friends. Choose any type of attribute or ability
as primary, closer to represent your area of expertise.

Magical:
Born with an aptitude for Magic, be it Arcane or Divine you are an expert in the
magical field of your choice, but this does not make you eschew using tools or
even weapons. An advisor, magical researcher, occult dabbler you are treated
with suspicion by the vast majority of people should you follow the Arcane path.
As a user of Divine magic, such as a Shaman or Priest, you are respected and
honored, seen many times as a person many would follow, but only your deeds
dictate how others view you.
As a Magical Archetype you have access to schools of Magic pertinent to your
speciality (Arcane or Divine) and can use your Mana pool to power them.
However using magic has a price to pay, as failed spells might harm you, your
friends or draw unwanted attention.
Mental attributes and Willpower are paramount however there are also the odd
Physical or Social primary mages.
A priest for example might be more at home with Social attributes or Skills, while
a Wizard might choose to go for Mental attributes first.
Knowledges and Talents are usually primary but it is not unheard of a Skills
primary Magical Archetype character.

Blessed / Cursed:
Neither truly a magic user or a regular person, you have been gifted with Faith or
other similar form of belief which grants you use of Magic albeit somewhat more
limited. You may be a holy warrior of the Church of Light, a cursed Death Knight
of the Scourge or something altogether. The magic you use is divine in nature or
treated as such.
As with the Physical Archetype there is no limit to what your primary attributes or
abilities are however you are restricted in your chosen Path of Magic and may
learn nothing else.
