Here is a simple routine you can do between
scheduled services. Check your Owners Manual
for other monthly maintenance tasks that may be
specific to your vehicle.
Check the tire pressure
The recommended tire pressure is on a sticker inside your door jamb,
glove compartment or fuel filter door. Safety: Always make sure the
vehicle is in PARK.
Check the tread
Tires dont always wear evenly so check the thinnest or most worn
part. Also look for tears, lumps and bulges.
Check Engine oil
If your oil ever looks like a milkshake or you find metal shards, call
your service specialist.
Check the coolant
If the coolant is a rusty color or looks like a milkshake, call your
service specialist.

Check the power steering fluid
It is unusual to need to top up this fluid. If you need to top up more
than once a year, you may have a leak.
Check the brake fluid
If you need to top up your brake fluid every few weeks, you may have
a leak so see your service specialist.
Check your windshield washer solvent
Never use radiator anti-freeze or dish soap.
Check the lights and electrical items
Finally, check your wipers, headlights, brake lights, fog lamps and
blinkers.
Be sure to use the correct fluid. Never try to guess the location of
engine fluids.
Refer to your Owners Manual for specifications and diagrams.
Please dont hesitate to contact your service specialist if you have
any questions about your maintenance routine.
