Career Goals

Lindsey D. Willis
University of South Florida

I am a very determined and hardworking individual, who strives to meet both short and
long term goals. I believe it is important to set goals in your career and life, as it gives you a
clear focus and aim to work towards. It is important to make them meaningful and attainable. It
is also important to realize that you can modify your goals as you move forward.

Short Term Goals

In the first 6 months to a year as an RN, I plan to develop my knowledge and clinical
skills as a novice nurse on the transplant unit at Tampa General Hospital.

After working as a transplant nurse for 1-2 years, I plan on obtaining my certification as a
certified clinical transplant nurse (CCTN).

Long Term Goals

After working for 3 years as an RN, I plan on going back to school for my masters or
doctorate in nursing.

After working for 3-5 years as a provider in a hospital setting, I would like to work in a
clinic setting with an OB/GYN group or a family practice group.
