Thank You for Getting Us Over The Line
It was another rollercoaster season at Crewe Alexandra,
but with your considerable help we managed to get over
the line on the final day. Ive always said that the supporters
are the heartbeat of any Football Club and your fantastic
support against Preston was the nosiest Ive ever heard
inside Gresty Road. It was an unforgettable day and
showed what can be achieved as a collective.

That type of support makes a massive difference to any
player, to any team. We managed to put nearly 1,000 Crewe
fans on the attendance that day and I think everyone could
see the impact it made.

I would love the Alexandra Stadium to be able generate
that type of atmosphere every week and slowly but surely
we are improving the average gate. We finished just under
5,000 last season (4,880).

We endured a tough season both on-and-off the pitch,
but the loyalty of our supporters, especially those who
purchased their season tickets or memberships never
faltered. When we needed you, you were out in force.
The support we have received has been tremendous and I am pleased that we were able to safeguard
our League One status for you. This is where we want to be. It is not easy in this league, but as a club we
thrive on challenges.
When you go through adversity you learn a lot. You often see who is with you and who believes in you. I
appreciate the loyal fan base we have at this club and we can improve the numbers by being more successful.
One thing is for sure, as a Crewe supporter there is certainly never a dull period! I have had three very
different but exciting years in charge of the club and I am grateful for the support Ive received.
Our season ticket and match day prices have gone up slightly in relation to inflation but having analysed
and discussed what other clubs at League One and even at League Two level charge their fans, I know we
are incredibly competitive.
We continue to offer one of the cheapest season tickets in the Football League.
I have seen the figures and our adult season ticket holders pay just 12.60 per match or the equivalent of
10 free games at the standard match day price. I think anyone would agree that offers value for money.
I can only encourage you to renew your season ticket or encourage new fans to come to the games at
Gresty Road. Im sure it will be another rollercoaster ride but one I am looking forward to jumping back on
in pre-season!
