Appendix: Ionization of CO Solutions As Function of TH PH at 25 C
This document shows a graph depicting the ionization of carbon dioxide solutions as a function of pH at 25 degrees Celsius. The graph shows that as pH increases, the mol fraction of carbon dioxide decreases while the mol fractions of bicarbonate and carbonate ions increase. The ionization reaches equilibrium with approximately 80% bicarbonate and 20% carbonate at pH 8.
