I.
Introduction
If you are looking for a restaurant that serves great food and has that
authentic ambiance, than you cant go wrong with Brad and Pits Ribshack
First and foremost, Brad and Pits Ribshack Ribshack aims to satisfy craving
of meat lovers around metro with their assortment of ribs, wings and
sandwiches. It perfectly translates that Southern American vibe in that small
place in the form of great food, ambiance and affordability. Its a perfect place
to eat for people who are up for a new dining experience. And if you do visit,
the Cubano is a must-try. Brad and Pits Ribshack is located at 116 Lilac
Street, Concepcion Dos, Marikina City. They are open from 12 noon until 10
pm from Tuesday to Sunday. The business was established in 2013 by the
business partner of Bradley and Richard Buzeta. It was a Chinese Restaurant
before but then the owners decided to change its theme and ambience
because it was not popular to the people and they didnt receive enough
revenue to run the business. In 2013, they changed the name and the theme
of the business into Ribshack Restaurant. Its a good place to indulge in
affordable ribs and chill with your buddies or family. From the exterior of the
restaurant you wouldnt suspect that this particular restaurant could easily
transport you to a Cuban environment, but it did once you opened the door.
Inside the restaurant, small trinkets from various eras are displayed. From old
TV sets, old Tonka toys, used bottles both old and new, and an old used pair
of Chuck Taylors hanging in a hallway, just brings back some memories and a
sense of pop culture history lessons, Due to the changing taste and
preference of the customer. Brad and Pits want to make sure that they will
serve the best and offer the best food to their customer.

Statement of Purpose
Congestion of orders during peak hours is the main problem that the
restaurant is experiencing. Peak hours are from 7pm to 9pm. The restaurant
has only 10 tables and approximately 40 seats for the customers. The
restaurant is not capable of any expansion because the establishment where
the business is located is a privately owned. Another reason is that there is a
city ordinance that prohibits them from expanding the area. The restaurant
owners dont want transfer to another place because it has been their
trademark to their customers. We would like to minimize congestion of orders
during peak hours through decongestion, discount and promotion schedule.
We would like to increase the sales during off hours by discount and
promotion. We would like to help the restaurant in trailblazing customers
satisfaction.
III.
Plan of Action
Schedule discount and promotion to off hour from 3 pm to 4 pm
Give discount coupons and promotion papers to customers
Add telephone service to avail ordering through phone call and delivery
Discount to customers if they will order before peak hours from 7 pm to 9
pm through telephone call
If through delivery, there is no delivery fee if along Marikina area only.
If they will order through telephone call and pick up their order in the
restaurant with the minimum purchase of 500 pesos they will receive 5%
discount
Additional window will be made for the take-out order
Print-out tarpaulin materials so that customers will be informed about the
discount and promotion of the restaurant

Benefits
Attract Customers
Because people prefer buying things on sale, discounts serve as a ploy to
attract more people to your store. If your discount is only good for a certain
amount of days, mention that when you advertise the discounted items.
People are more likely to rush in and look around if they know they only
have a few days to do so. Your store will experience more traffic, so you

service is smooth.

Will It Work?
It is a viable proposal because it improves the productivity of the business by
scheduling the off hours and turning it in to peak hours. Giving discounts
encourages the customers to go to the restaurant during off hours. We
introduced the ideas of discount and promotion to the owners of the business.
They agreed to our ideas because sometimes they experience excess in their
inventories and most of this inventories are perishable so it is must be used
before it perish. The discount and promotion vouchers are open to all. We
suggest to the owners of the business to hire one person that will give the
vouchers outside their restaurant. Before customers can avail the discount
and promos of the restaurant they must present the voucher to the counter
once they pay their bill and the discount and promotion will be effective to
them. We also ask them to print out tarpaulin materials that will display the
discount and promotion scheme so that customers will be informed about this.
Aside from that we ask them to apply for telephone service so that ordering
and delivery through phone call will be possible. We also suggest them to add
another window for take-out orders so that the ordering system will be
systematic and quick.

Desired Outcomes
Desired Outcome 1: There will be no congestion of orders and the business will
be known for their quality service and products.
This will reduce the number of people during peak hours because people will
have the mindset that it is better to eat during off hour. Aside from that, the
delivery service will also help to lessen the congestion of order. The additional
window for take-out order will also help to minimize the number of people inside
the restaurant because they can pick up the food from the restaurant and eat it in
their home.
Desired outcome 2: Everyone will be accommodated during off -hours, peak
hours will not be congested.
Discount and promotion schedule will lessen the congestion of order during peak
hours people will intend to eat or during off hour / earlier because they will
receive freebies

Necessary Resources
In order for the researchers to make this proposal possible, the researchers
classified the necessary resources in two: tangible and intangible. Tangible
resources include money, bond paper, ball pen, tablet, printer, inks and computer.
First, the researchers prepared money to go and test the foods in Brad and Pits
Ribshack. Bond paper and ball pen were provided by the researchers to write the
words explained by the interviewee. The computer was used to type the
information gathered by the researchers. After that, printer, inks and bond paper
were used to have a hard copy of the proposal. Intangible resource includes
time. The researchers allotted longer time to compile the information and to think
of the best ways to solve the issues experienced by the restaurant. It took 2
hours for the researchers to gather the necessary information about the
restaurant this includes the interview of the owners and customers of the
business. The interview was conducted last July 7, 2016.
