Pg.6, par. 1- Wes mom threatens to hit him by teaching him not to hit. Ironic.
Pg.11, par. 5-wes was telling about how much he looked up to his father and
then brings up the conversation of his death. Mood-change. This is an
example of foreshadowing.
Pg.20, par. 6- A man murdered his wife and hid in a chimney. I find this to be
very nave.
Pg.21, par.2- New characters are being introduced and its starting to get
difficult to follow through.
Pg.22, par.2-Only on chapter one and theres already been two funerals.

*Summary
Through out the first chapter of The Other Wes Moore the past of both
their lives were revealed showing their reasons of becoming who they art
presently, iv also met several characters in their lives who have deeply
impacted both Wes Moore lives. The book went into depth about Marys past
with her previous husband and how he was abusive, once she left that part of
her life she soon met a man who soon became Wes father, he later died of
breathing troubles. The death majorly impacted his whole family.
Chapter two

Pg.28 par.1-Wes wanted to be like his older brother tony however tony
wanted to be like his little brother.
Pg. 29 par.2- Wes mother was moving their family into the Bronx of New
York; she wanted to leave right as she got there so why would she take her
family there to as well.
Pg.30 par.1-if Wes insists hes smarter than every one else in his class then
why doesnt he get better grades than them.
Pg.32 par.5- if he was angry with the boy that hit him then why did he run
home instead of hitting back.
Pg.34 par.2 walking past cops with a knife seems smart
Pg.34 par.3- a boy is screaming with a knife in his hand yet the most the cop
does is step out of the car and yell stop. I think the cop could have done better
to stop him.
Pg.35 par.5- it took Wes mom 5 years to find out he was arrested that night.
This shows shes not very observant.
Pg.38 par.2- if the Bronx looks like a war zone then why would they
voluntary lives there.

*Summary
In chapter two of The Other Wes Moore I was explained how Wes was
arrested by going after a smaller boy with a knife because he punched him,
foreshadowing was expressed through out the chapter by saying Wes mom
did know he was arrested until five years later but by then that was the least of
her concerns.

didnt she hit back

-Wes was temporarily arrested for graffiti his mom had no idea
-Wes was punished by getting hit for hitting his little sister.

valley forge however he missed his family and felt bad he couldnt be
there for them.

-He soon became the highest ranking coddette and was in charge of
