Fabrication of Solar Air Cooler Synopsis

Solar air coolers operate similarly to conventional air coolers, but run on solar power from solar panels or batteries instead of AC power. During the day when sunlight is sufficient, the solar panel produces DC current that directly powers the air cooler. At night or with low sunlight, a battery backup is required to power the cooler. The advantage is that solar air coolers are economical as they eliminate consumption of AC power.

FABRICATION OF SOLAR AIR COOLER

SYNOPSIS
Solar Air Coolers are similar to conventional air coolers
but the only difference being that they run on Solar Power produced directly
from the Solar Panels or from a battery. During daytime whenever sufficient
sunlight is available the DC Current produced by the Solar panel directly
powers the Air Cooler. In cases of low Sunshine & during the night times a
battery backup is required to run the Cooler. The advantage of using such a
type of cooler is that it is economical because it totally eliminates the
consumption of AC power.

Mechanical engineering without production and manufacturing is


meaningless and inseparable. Production and manufacturing process deals
with conversation of raw materials inputs to finished products as per
required dimensions specifications and efficiently using recent technology.
Surface grinding is a widely used process of machining in which a spinning
wheel covered in rough particles cuts chips of metallic or non metallic
substance making them flat or smooth.

We have done the project under title of Solar powered AIR


COOLER. The main theme of our project is used to cooler operated
through solar power .

The power supply is obtained by renewable energy

source i.e. solar energy.

When using the air cooler machine we have depended the electricity.
It is portable type machine. This type machine is portable machine.

ADVANTAGES&DISADVANTAGES

Applications:
o It is used in the small houses.
o It can be used in site area.
o The solar energy used here for taking power supply in the rural
areas.
o Hotels

o Lodges
o Resorts
o Office Cabins
o Conference Halls

Advantages:
1. No need extra A.C current
2. Very compact
3. Easy maintenance
4. D.C Component is very durable.

Disadvantages:
o Solar panel is not effective in moisture conditions.
o D.C Battery maintenance is complicated work.
