11/07 - Group Trip - Day of the Dead Parade. Come join us to photograph the Day of the Dead Parade in
the Southwest corner of Albuquerque. This is a join and roam event. Participants are free to depart at
any time. Photographers can work on their own or with friends in groups to photograph the plethora of
vehicles and participants as they celebrate life.
Accessibility: The parade route and assembly areas are in an urban setting and well paved. There are
some areas of sand and dirt along the sides of the roads in the residential parking areas. But overall, this
site should be accessible to photographers who use powered and non-powered mobility equipment.

Cost: Free
Where to meet: Meet at UNM Football Stadium North Parking Lot (South of the Isotopes Ballpark)
Time to meet: 12 PM

11/18 - Wildlife Photography Tips and Techniques Workshop. Come join to learn how to prepare
yourself and your equipment to take great shots of wild animals. Several local wildlife photographers
will show their work and provide the audience with professional and personal tips on how to take that
once in a life time photo of your favorite animal in a natural setting.
Accessibility: The village of Placitas Community Library is fully accessible with a small number of
special access concrete parking pads. The remainder of the parking lot is composed of well packed
dirt/gravel.

12/10 - Talk and Presentation - "How to Photograph Wild and Ranch Horses. NM based photographer
xxxxxxxxx., will show her work of wild horses from several locations in the west. Horses are extremely
social and present uniquely expressive behaviors and emotions. The presentation will include taking
photos of both wild and domesticated horses to capture those special moments of bonding and conflict.
Accessibility: The village of Placitas Community Library is fully accessible with a small number of

12/24 - Group Outing - Old Town Lights and Luminarias. Come join us in Old Town Albuquerque for a
chilly night of photographing the lights and luminarias. This is a join and roam event. Participants are
free to depart at any time. Photographers can work on their own or with friends in groups to photograph
the many light displays and the luminarias surrounding the mission and the central square.
Accessibility: Albuquerque Old Town is in an urban setting and well paved. There are some areas of
sand and dirt along the sides of the roads in the residential parking areas. But overall, this site should be
accessible to photographers who use powered and non-powered mobility equipment.

02/11 - Group Outing - Santa Fe RAPTOR CENTER. The Santa Fe Raptor Center is a registered
nonprofit 501 ( c ) (3) organization that cares for injured birds in order to release them back into the
natural habitat. They achieve this in 3 steps: Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release. From the Santa Fe
Raptor Center website. This is a great chance to get very close to these hunters of the sky. Details are
still in the works. We do not know which birds will be available. However, the Center usually has a
wide variety of hawks, eagles, and owls. It will be our goal to provide photographers opportunities to
take photos of these birds in both perched and when flying.
Accessibility: A description of accessibility at this site is pending a site visit.
