A Creative Project on the Revolutionary War
Due Date: 11/28/2016
You will be researching a person or event in the American Revolution. Once youve become an expert
on your chosen topic, you will demonstrate your knowledge through a creative project. Your project
must include the following:
Some form of creative representation of your selected person or topic. FOR
EXAMPLE:
Present a drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, or other visual
representation of the surrender of Fort Ticonderoga.
Write a short story or poem from the perspective of a continental soldier at
Valley Forge.
Perform or record a song (original or parody) that tells the story of John
Paul Jones
Perform or record choreographed dance inspired by the Boston Massacre.
Pretty much any other creative medium--check with me first!
An accompanying written response (at least 1 page, double spaced) with the
following:
A summary of your research. Explain your person or event and his/her/its
significance to the Revolution.
Explain how your creative project represents your person or event. Why
did you do what you did? How did you creatively represent the historical details you
found in your research?
A works cited that properly cites the research that informed your project, using MLA
format.
