Application
After drying, SurTec 533 forms a temporary corrosion protection film which is removable in the
cleaning bath. Therefore SurTec 533 is preferably dosed in the last rinse before drying. The
application concentration depends on the requested corrosion protection grade. The use of
deionised water is recommended.

Maintenance and Analysis
Analyse and adjust the concentration of SurTec 533 regularly.
Dose SurTec 533 according to titration (or pH-value), if no alkalinity is dragged into the bath
or determine by corrosion protection test according to DIN 51360, part 2.
Sample Preparation
Take a sample at a homogeneously mixed position and let it cool down to room temperature.
If the sample is turbid, let the turbidity settle down and decant or filter the solution.

Pipette 10 ml bath sample into a 250 ml Erlenmeyer flask.
Dilute with approx. 100 ml deionised water.
Add 3 drops of indicator.
Titrate with 0.1 N acid from violet to yellow.
