SMOKING CESSATION
You are Naveed. 23 years old, studies history. He smokes 20 cigarettes a day and has a poor
diet, eating no fruit or veg and having takeaways at least 4 times a week. His friend was
recently diagnosed with COPD and he is worried that he will suffer the same fate. He has
tried quitting smoking before without help and has not managed it. But he still wants to quit.
He is interested in trying out nicotine replacement and/or medication. He doesn’t know what
other medical problems smoking may cause and feels fit and well.
