Meatirxtrilogyquestions

This document is a student's notes summarizing three videos called "The Meatrix Trilogy". The notes cover topics like factory farming practices, the treatment of animals in dairy and meat production, health issues caused by these systems, and impacts on workers and rural communities. Key points include animals being tightly packed and given antibiotics, declining family farms being replaced by factory farms, cows being enclosed and milked by machines, and meat processing being a dangerous job. The goal of the videos is to educate viewers about "agribusiness" and influence how they eat by showing the realities of industrial animal agriculture.

Write: Before viewing these videos, how much did you know about agribusiness? What was some new
information you learned from these videos? What is the goal of these videos? Do you think these videos
will change how you eat? Why/why not?
I always thought agribusiness wasnt that bad and that it was somewhat good to the animals or cows. This
is obviously not true because of the horrible conditions for not only the cows but for the workers too. I
learned that the cows are sometimes even hooked up to machines to get milk. Also I learned that cows get
artificial growth hormones put in their milk. This is surprising to me. I think I will try to eat more organic
and healthy foods for the most part now that I see what happens to the products.
