SNICKERDOODLES

Makes about 2 dozen

*IMPORTANT* this recipe contains Cinnamon

Prep Time: 30 minutes


Cook Time: 8 minutes per tray
Preheat oven to: 375F

Ingredients
For Cinnamon-Sugar Coating
(Feel free to skip the cinnamon if allergic)
cup of sugar
1 Tbsp of cinnamon

Cookie Dough

2 cups of Flour
1 cups of Sugar
1 tsp baking soda
tsp salt (only add if using unsalted butter)
cup or 1 stick of softened butter
cup vegetable shortening
2 eggs

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375F
2. In a bowl combine cup of sugar and 1 Tbsp of cinnamon for cookie coating,
& set aside.
3. In a medium size bowl whisk together Flour, baking soda, and salt (salt is
optional)
4. In a Large bowl cream together 1 cup of butter, shortening, and 1 cups of
sugar for 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy. Then add eggs one at a time and beat
after each addition.
5. Slowly add dry ingredients to butter mixture and beat until dough forms
*Dough will look a little bit runny DO NOT ADD MORE FLOUR
6. Scoop out about 1 Tbsp of dough and roll into a ball. (oil your hands if
necessary)
7. Roll in cinnamon sugar mixture and place on a baking sheet (lined with
parchment paper or Greased)

8. Bake for 8 minutes.


*Cookies will not look or feel fully cooked, but take them out. They will set in 2-3
minutes*
