1. Have you had any previous directing experience?
Yes- DIRECTOR: The Voice Awakens (MT BFA Freshmen Showcase), Annie KIDS
(Summer Camp), Sasha and the Pearl (Touring TYA Original Musical), Cut!
(Competition One Act), The Cast List (One Act Festival) AD: Seussical
(Community Theatre), The Wizard of Oz (JLMS Drama Dept.), Peter Pan and
Wendy (JLMS Drama Dept.), The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (JLMS Drama
Dept.)
2. Have you had any other theatre positions in the past?
Yes- Performer (UCF), Lighting Designer, Stage Manager, Puppetry Director,
Makeup Designer, Technical Director, Assistant Musical Director, Electrics Crew
(UCF).
3. Have you worked with Project Spotlight before? If so, with what?
Performer in A Good Idea last fall, Electrics Crew for OAF and the Ten Minute Play
Competition.
4. How would you bring something new to our company?
I have a wide scope of interests in theatre, ranging from performing, to puppetry,
even magic. I have also consistently worked with minimal to non-existent
budgets. These two facets of my previous experience, as well as my background
in improvisation, mean that my directing style is one that is open to

experimentation and trying things never done before. I am extremely ambitious,
and love to make things happen and get things done.
5. Do you have any time constraints or contractual obligations? (Including
Possible TheatreUCF shows, UCF Celebrates the Arts, Writes of Spring, or
jobs or fraternities etc.)
I may be cast in the fall season, as I am required to audition and take whatever
part I may receive.
6. Do you have a stage manager? If so, what is their name? If not, would you
like Project Spotlight to recommend one?
Harmony Bordinaro and I would like to work together. She is also applying to
direct, so if we are both directing, I would like a recommendation. I am also open
to calling my own cues, as I have done that for a few shows in the past.
7. Do you have any questions or concerns for Project Spotlight
Not at the moment! However, I will be working at a theatre intensive until early
August, so I may not be available to do a phone interview until I return.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
* NO firearms (real or fake) and NO fire onstage. NO exceptions.
* If chosen as a Director, you CANNOT perform in your own play.
*If you wrote your piece, Project Spotlight recommends finding another student
to direct.
*Please provide a copy of the play with this application. If you are submitting a
full-length script and plan to cut and/or modify it to fit a one-act format, please
include the final cuts you are making.
* Plays must be no longer than 40 minutes in length.
*Directors must be available for the festival auditions and callbacks, which will be
held the Tuesday and Wednesday of the first week of the semester.
*Directors should have a stage manager. If they dont, they are responsible for
calling their own cues in the sound/light booth during the shows. If you do not
have a stage manager, we will be more than happy to recommend someone,
however, we do not guarantee that we will be able to provide one.
*Project Spotlight will advertise the One Act Festival. Directors are not
responsible for advertisements unless the director so chooses.
*All of the rules and regulations will be gone over with directors that are chosen
for the One Act Festival. Directors are responsible for ensuring that they are
within Project Spotlight Guidelines.
*To participate in the One Act Festival, you are required to register for a
participation credit and will receive a grade based on your participation in the
festival.
We will be holding phone interviews with potential directors over the break before
the upcoming semester. Good luck!
