August 2016 December 2016 Worked with all 7th and 8th grade
language arts classes, as well as a literacy elective. Responsible for
planning lessons, grading, classroom management and differentiation
between classes and students. Specific units planned for and taught were:
Science Fair Research papers, poetry, The Pearl by John Steinbeck, and
reading comprehension through short stories for below grade-level
readers.

January 2016 May 2016Worked with an 11th grade American
Literature class every Tuesday and Thursday during 2nd period. Lessons
taught on rhetoric seen throughout Mark Twains Cannibalism in the
Cars, as well as theme seen throughout Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

September 2015 - December 2015Integrated and a regular part of an
8th grade pre-AP English class at Boltz Middle school every Monday and
Wednesday. Frequently created and taught solo lessons and graded
student work. Specific lessons taught on persuasive writing, rhetoric and
fallacies, narrative writing and expository writing.
EDUCATION
Colorado State University as an English major with a double
concentration in Education and Literature. Passed the Praxis exam for
teaching English at the Secondary level.Will graduate in December of
2016.
