Community & Mobilization: Steps to Proactive Cultural Evolution

Mobilization: Information
How can we counter the media rooted in untruth/fear/bias/propaganda/shame by mobilizing
information, education and the development of compassionate approaches to action and
thought in our local and global community?
Mobilization: Political/Social/Spiritual Movements
In order to maintain the progress we (we being the
progressive/empowerment/feminism/spiritual/whatever movement) have worked so hard to gain
through the tumultuous civil rights battle that has defined our country for many years, we must
be proactive and organized in our methods. We must acknowledge that our real job is to get
the opposition to understand the root of their anger or hostility...fear.
How can we get a Trump supporter to emotionally connect with and understand the struggle of,
say, a black single mother faced with career sexism/blatant racial discrimination/lack of bodily
autonomy?
How can we make the message a
ccessible?
Community: Women
Cultivating a sense of sisterhood, and a culture that not only allows but encourages:
1. Sharing and being vulnerable as a path to connection
2. Self-love and actively seeking to take care of self
3. A sense of solidarity instead of competition
Community: School
What kind of work can I do here? How can I impact this school in a way I find meaningful, as a
means of paying a debt to all that I have learned and gained and experienced here?
Expanding a teenagers perspective creates an entire adult lifetime lived more deeply. This is a
powerful time.
Community: Vermont
Opportunities to reach out in a larger way, to greater numbers of people?
Affecting our country's cultural landscape starts at home.
