Modified Game Number 1

Sport: Table Tennis
Name of game: Counter clockwise ping pong

Number of players per team: Two teams, 10 players on each team.

How teams are selected: The teacher will randomly give students an index card that
has a color on it, example: Red and blue team.

Facility: The facility will be inside of a gym, and space is needed so that the tables
are not close together. This is because we do not want the students bunched
together for safety reasons.

Equipment: 20 paddles and 2 ping pong balls

Outcomes of the game:

-To use one type of shot while the students are actively moving around
-Teamwork and different strategies or ways that the students can work together to
get the highest amount of points
-Communication: Students will have to communicate as to who is hitting the ball

Rules and regulations:

-Only using the penhold grip
-The ball can only bounce on each side
-A team scores a point every time the ball hits the correct side and is hit by a
teammate
-When the ball goes off the table or is hit twice, the points will go back to zero
-5 minutes per round

Safety Tips: Once the student hits the ball they will run around the right side of the
table, and they must keep their eyes and heads up to avoid collision.

-The balls will also be hit only on the table, no purposely aggressive hits because
this could be dangerous

The red square is the table, and the blue arrows are the students going around the
table to their right.

Extend up: The number of people on a team will be decreased. There will also be
another team added so this will cause the students to move and work faster and
also get more OTR.

Extend down: Instead of running around the right side of the table to the other side,
they will stay on their side and move to the back of the line. If a student is having a
hard time with the activity, they will get a partner, move to another table and
practice the shot.
