Terminal Objective : The pupls will be able to locate things using the
prepositions of place.
Enabling Objectives : The pupils will be able to :
Match pictures with their names
Ask and answer questions about a house plan
Look at a picture of a living room and locate
things by writing sentences
Fill in a cross word puzzle
Spot the differences btw 2 pictures
Skills : Speaking , Reading , Writing , Listening
Lexis: Recycling of the lexis studied during the course session
Structure: prepositions of place
Functions: Describing+Locating things
The Speaking Test : Apupil will be asked to look at some given
pictures and name the rooms and the furniture.
Procedure :
Step1: A puzzle:
Ill provide the pupils with handouts containing a puzzle. Theu will have to
complete the missing letters to find the secret word.
Step2: Match pictures with their names:
Ill provide some pupils with pictures of different rooms and furniture and
other pupils with the names. They will have to match the pictures with
their names.
Step3:House plan :
Ill provide the pupils with a picture of a house plan. They will have to
work in pairs and ask each other questions :
Pupil A : Where is the kitchen
Pupil B : Its next to the bathroom
Step4: Writing sentences:

Ill provide the pupils with a handout containing a picture of a living room.
They will have to locate the furniture by writing sentences.
Eg : There is a flower under the chair.
Step5: Spot the differences :
Ill stick 2 pictures on the board. The pupils will be asked to look at them
and spot the differences.
Ill end the session with a song about prepositions
