F. Objectives of the proposed project (2000 characters)
The objective of the project is to study the past rainfall and temperature data of West Bengal region
and then projecting the rainfall and temperature trends for future for 3 different time series, each
time series having a span of 30 years. This future projection will be displayed on the website which
will be designed as a part of this project.

1) Collection of past rainfall and temperature data of West Bengal state.
2) After analyzing the past data we would project the trends of temperature and rainfall for future
for 3 different time series, each series of 30 years time span.

The project is recommended for obtaining grant-in-aid from IEI with the following conditions:
i) The Investigator will be governed by the rules and regulations of the University/Institute and will be under
administrative control of the University/ Institute for the duration of the project.
ii) The grant-in-aid by the IEI will be used to meet the expenditure on the project and for the period for which
the project has been sanctioned.
iii) No administrative or other liability will be attached to the IEI at the end of the project.
iv) The University/ Institute will provide basic infrastructure and other required facilities to the investigator for
undertaking the research project.
v) The University/ Institute will take into its books all assets received under this sanction and its disposal would
be at the discretion of University/ Institute.
vi) The University/Institute assumes to undertake the financial and other management responsibilities of the
project.
