CROCHET PATTERN:Minion Inspired Baby Booties

The pattern is written in 2 sizes: 0 6 months (6 12 months)


You will need:
crochet hook: 3.5 mm (E/4)
yarn needle
stitch markers
yarn: DK weight 100% cotton yarn in blue, yellow, black, gray and white, 50 g (1.75 oz)
Gauge:22 sts and 24 rows in sc measure 4 x 4 inch (10 x 10 cm).
Stitches:
ch chain (https://youtu.be/_c5gpM-4PRw)
ss slip stitch
sc single crochet (https://youtu.be/RE3qtF0F3Rw)
hdc half double crochet
sc2tog join next two sts with sc2tog.
st/ sts stitch/ stitches
BPhdc back post half double crochet
All of my patterns are written in standard American terms.

Do not count the chain or ss stitch as a stitch at the beginning/end of round.


* If the number is written:
in before the stitch 3 hdc = work 3 hdc into the same stitchafter the stitch
after the stitch hdc 3 = work hdc into next 3 stitches.

SOLE
Use blue color of yarnand 3.5 mm (E/4) crochet hook, createchain 10 (13).
Round 1:Start in the 2nd chain (https://youtu.be/_c5gpM-4PRw) from the hook. Make 2 hdc
into the same. Hdc 7 (10). Make 5 hdc into the last chain from the hook, now start on the other
side. Hdc 7 (10). Make 3 hdc into the last one. Join the round with ss.
= 24 (30) sts.
Round 2:Ch 1. Start in the same stitch. Make 2 hdc into next 2. Hdc 7 (10). Make 2 hdc into
next 5. Hdc into next 7 (10). Now make 2 hdc into last 3 stitches. Join the round wit ss.
= 34 (40) sts.
Round 3:Ch 1. Start in the same stitch. Repeat (2 hdc into the same st, 1 hdc into the next one)
two times. Hdc into next 7 (10). Repeat (2 hdc into the same st, 1 hdc into the next one) ve
times. Hdc into next 7 (10). Repeat (2 hdc into the same st, 1 hdc into the next one) three times.
Join the round with ss.
= 44 (50) sts.
Fasten o.

You will need one sole for each shoe.


Find center back stitch of the sole; fold sole in half lengthwise. The stitch in the fold is the one
that you want.
Upper part of the shoe is worked with hook going from outside of the shoe to the inside and
the nicer side of the sole should be on the outer side of the shoe.
You should start each round in the joining stitch (ss) which should be in the center back of the
heel.
Do not count the chain or ss stitch as a stitch at the beginning/end of round.

Use 3.5 mm (E/4) crochet hook.
Round 1: Use the blue yarn again and start in the middle of the heel. Ch 1. BPhdc all the way
around.

Round 2:From now on, use the yellow yarn. Ch 1.Sc into the same st. Sc into next 43 (49) sts.
Join the round with ss. Do not turn!
= 44 (50) sts.
Round 3:
Ch 1. Sc into the same st. Sc into next 10 (13). Repeat (hdc2tog, hdc into next 2) 5 times.
Hdc2tog into the next. Sc 11 (14). Join the round with ss. Do not turn.
= 38 (44) sts.
Round 4:
Ch 1. Sc into the same st. Sc into next 11 (14). Hdc 1. Hdc2tog. Dc2tog into next 4. Hdc2tog.
Hdc into the next one. Sc into next 12 (15). Join the round with ss.
= 32 (38) sts.
Round 5:Ch 1. Sc into the same st. Sc into next 10 (11). Hdc2tog. Repeat dc2tog three (ve)
times. Hdc2tog. Sc 11 (12). Join the round with ss.
= 27 (31) sts.
Round 6 7: Ch 1. Hdc into the same stitch. Hdc into the next 26 (30). Join the round with the
ss.
= 27 (31) sts.

Round 8 9: Use the black yarn. Ch 1. Hdc into the same stitch. Hdc into the next 26 (30). Join
the round with the ss.

EYE
Round 1: Start with the black yarn. Ch 2. Start in the 2nd chain from the hook. Hdc 8. Join the
round with the ss.
= 8 sts.
Round 2: Use the white yarn. Work 2 hdc into each stitch around. Ss does not count as a stitch!
Join the round with the ss.
= 16 sts.
Round 3: Use the gray yarn. Work ss into each stitch around.Ss does not count as a stitch! Join
the round with the ss.
